"Ken was a great host and always available if needed! Home has lots of space for small and large families! Absolutely great location to soo many attractions in the area. Pretty well appointed house, kitchen could use better cooking pots!… Back yard was great, but not accessible directly from house. No covered parking.Great patio for late afternoon and evening. Many restaurants and shopping within walking distance!Hill City Steam train right across the street… great fun for families!We loved it… would recommend to families."

"Everything about this hotel is wonderful… except the breakfast. The hotel is comfortable, the beds are luxurious, the rooms are so clean, and the whole property looks brand new! That always means a lot to me! The staff is super helpful and friendly. We lost our key fob and they found it and sent it to us in the mail. like I said the only thing that isn’t amazing about this hotel is the breakfast. For people who like unprocessed healthy food, there isn’t many options. Instant oatmeal, fake eggs, barely multigrain bread, and the coffee is unfortunately not good. However, we may do, by getting some fruit at the local store very close by and had hot tea instead of coffee with teabags that I brought. There are also great breakfast options in town, so don’t let that hold you back from staying at this amazing hotel!"

"The parking facilities was so terrible, so limited and spaces seem to be under sized, I was so concerned that my vehicle would get damage/dinged that I did not stay. I just ate the cost of the room, I was that concerned. I located a different motel in town that offered, to me anyway, a safe place to park."

"We enjoyed staying at Mountain Peaks Inn. Hill City was central to all the places we wanted to see and the Elkhorn room was perfect. It had a side entrance and made coming and going easy. The room was laid out perfectly for us. The shower was super as well as the rest of the living area. The coffee shop was a great place to go for coffee and other breakfast items, as well as lunch, and just hang out. The personnel at the coffee shop were so helpful and served us well!Lisa was a very good host and was available to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend staying at Mountain Peaks."

"This property was nice with a great location. The only reason I have rated it as 4 stars overall is that we experienced a foul (sewage like) odor the first 2 nights we stayed there. The smell started after we turned the heat on, and lasted for about an hour. We texted the property owner and would hear from him the following morning. It seemed to go away by our 3rd night. Overall, the place was nice, clean, and close to just about anything you would want to see in the area."
