We loved the three resident cats on the property and the whispering pine trees with hammocks. A very serene and peaceful place with nice breakfast buffet and real chill vibes. Cool wildlife too - geckos, anoles, toads, snails, and birds. Overall a lovely place. Best of all ... The staff was nice, helpful, and just all around great folks.
I had a great stay! Solo woman traveler and wanted some R&R from the city life. This place was perfect. Grounds are well-kept and like a movie; serene and beautiful. Loved the jacuzzi and pool! Got some nice sun before going to back to the city life. Mahalo for having me! Looking forward to my next stay!
I recently stayed for one night, the stay was booked last minute due to the brush fire in Maui on Sept 26, 2026.
The check-in process was quick and smooth, we were able to find our room easily with the map they provided. The room was clean and was sufficient for a night’s stay. The pillows were comfortable but the bed was the softest/most sunken that I’ve experienced at a hotel as an avid traveller.
I felt the breakfast was very disappointing, everything was cold and there was no staff in the building. I dropped by and there was no cutlery but also no one in the kitchen to assist. I went back to my room and returned half an hour later with my spouse and there was still no staff around. Some other guests looked around the kitchen and were able to locate some utensils to share.
The property is lovely but also feels abandoned or vacant in some ways. There was no one around, the lobby was silent, no people, no music.
Amazing stay. The classes were wonderful, the hammocks in the whispering pines were lovely and the pool was amazing. The breakfast had fresh dragonfruit and pineapple, which was out of this world and the other options were delicious.
Could not be happier. The staff were professional and accommodating. Excellent yoga sessions and lovely, relaxing massage services. The grounds and pool are absolutely stunning. Nice relaxing vacation. The breakfast is top notch. Highly recommend Lumeria.
After a horrific night at the airport because of the weather and having to find a place the last minute, we were very pleased with Lumeria very accommodating very clean very quiet thank you
John was fantastic and waited for me to arrive and helped guide me through the parking to get into the property. Any changes he made he made the effort to contact the massage therapist. The morning breakfast staff was attentive and helpful. Overall I would stay here again, if you are looking for peace, comfortable space and great staff then this is your future location while in Maui.
This is a special place with an Old Hawaiaan vibe in an updates setting. The ground are gorgeous. We didn't get to stay long but it's on my list of places to returrn. Excellent breakfast and just so relaxing.
It was AMAZING. Thank you so much. The perfect little boutique style getaway. No elevators, no sea of people or hallways to navigate, tastefully decorated rooms with real furniture and lots of wood. Loved it!
Beautiful holistic grounds. Friendly staff. Yummy breakfast. Many 5 stars but a few things move it to 4
The Lobby was musty in smell, like grandma s house. The dinner was not available when we were there.
Lumeria it’s such an amazing experience. There is such a Zen feeling when you walk in and the grounds are beautiful. The service is friendly and you feel like you are in another world away from the real world. I would highly recommend the area and I wish I had more time to spend there so we could take some of the classes that they offer during the day… this is a place for refuge and a place to get away from it all!!
This is an amazing place if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of regular hotels. Please note that there is no TV in the room which was exactly what I wanted.
This is a wellness retreat hotel that offers two classes, a day included in the price of the booking . They range from ukulele lesson, to hula dances, yoga, and chi gong lessons. The breakfast is quite nice, you can pre-order lunch for the next day if you like however the restaurant is only open twice a week at this point. The food at the restaurant is exquisite.
I was not aware of additional charges ahead of time. It was a bit surprise for me. I wish this infor had beed provided before I make the reservations.
The breakfast was much much better than the last 2 times I stayed there. Thanks
The property is awesome, breakfast is very delicious they change it a little bit every day. The place itself is very peaceful, full of nature, exactly what I needed for my trip after busy life. It was very relaxing experience.
The cons is that yes the cleanliness is not the best, there was sand in some corners, towels were really old, needing an update. The saddest part was when I was checking out no one gave me a receipt and still don’t know what my card was charged for when I paid here on Expedia everything in advance. I’m contacting the property soon, but it’s very disappointing I don’t even know what exactly I was charged for.

Liked: Staff & service
Rooms are very basic and need a deep cleaning. We had a lizard and a dead roach in the middle of the room. Furniture, lamps, door and windows were pretty dusty. Amenities not on a 5 stars level. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the outside areas, very relaxing and quiet. We did not have the time to use the pool or join any calssss.
This is a beautiful, quiet, and relaxing place to stay that offers a nice breakfast and lovely grounds with pool, jacuzzi, fire pits, and comfortable outdoor furniture. There’s a schedule of a variety of yoga classes over a week and areas conducive to meditation. That said, we never saw staff around other than at check-in and breakfast and wonder if they’re short on employees. We didn’t receive any room service over our 5 night stay, nor did we ask, and the beautifully designed grounds needed weeding. Those shortcomings didn’t diminish our experience and we do recommend it for what it does offer and for its location. Perhaps Lumeria was and could again be a jewel. It has such good bones and with a bit of attention and management could be exceptional.
