"This was a cheap room, very bare bones and basic but exactly what we needed for one night close to all the cool attractions in the area. It was just my 13-year-old son and I. The receptionist was extremely nice and explained everything really well. She even turned the heat on for us and explain the space heater which we definitely needed as it was pretty chilly that night.I was a little bummed out that the beds were slightly squeaky, the doors to the rooms were really loud, and the walls seem to be very thin. But even with all that I still slept well. Overall happy about it, but perhaps I would try the more chalet style rooms next time and find an even better experience."
"This cabin is in a beautiful location at the top of a hill. It’s best to give yourself a little time to get up the winding roads, especially if there’s fog. When we arrived, we were met by our host who is very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our conversation with him. He is a big LOTR fan so we had a fun time talking about filming locations and personal stories he had. The cabin is well appointed and we found the electric blanket and space heater were on when we arrived. There are some nice amenities for eating a meal, having coffee, and there’s cereal for breakfast. There is also a small fridge. Do bring any other food you want to eat because there’s nothing super close. We walked down the dirt path at night to view the glow worms and also had the chance to see lots of stars and the Milky Way. The private bathroom is just around the corner from the cabin, an easy 10 second walk and not spooky in the dark - it’s easy to turn on lights to find your way. It was clean, comfortable and warm. This place is very peaceful and homey and we would absolutely stay here again. It was a highlight of our trip."
"A great holiday spot with a calming view of the harbour and beyond with easy access to the water. The place is comfortable, well appointed and with a great fire for cold nights. Big plus, seals playing on the shoreline. Definitely recommend."
"Great cozy bach with beautiful views. Quiet and peaceful. Lovely long weekend family get away filled with board games and a day trip to the amazing Bridal Veil Falls."
"Great spot. A two storey building and we occupied the downstairs only. If i was to stay again, I'd want to receive some assurance that the upstairs occupant was going to be quiet."
