Do not expect a typical and boring Costa del Sol tourist destination. Huelin is an old district of Malaga, a classic Andalusian quarter, with its friendly, warm and communicative people.
All amenities such as supermarkets, bars, restaurants, beach life and culture in the immediate vicinity, making this apartment a unique object. Nearby, just 3 minutes walk from the apartment, the famous market of Huelin invites you to replenish the fridge with local fruit, vegetables and daily fresh fish and seafood.
Here are some more good news: The apartment is located just 7 km from the airport. The journey to the apartment takes only 10 minutes by car or taxi (15 EUR). Huelin is an old city district of Malaga. In just 20-25 minutes you can walk to the old town (taxi EUR 6).
Along the beach you will find the so-called chiringuitos', traditional beach restaurants where the Sardinas and fried fish are oceanfront, the kings of the menu.
On the beach you can hire sun loungers and umbrellas for rent EUR 3,50. In short: Huelin is a great place. It combines city and beach life in an ideal way.

This beautiful apartment (128m²) has 4 bedrooms (3 doubles and 1 single) 2 bathrooms (each with large bathtubs), one en suite.
The large living and dining room offers spectacular sea views. Fast WIFI is included in the rent. There is a large flat screen TV in the event that you want to spend a quiet evening at home.
There is a total of 3 balconies, two of them with sea views. Another advantage is a private and free parking.
The kitchen is fully equipped. Here you will find everything you need for the duration of your visit: washer, dryer, kettle, juicer, coffee maker, toaster, oven, microwave, refrigerator, iron, ironing board and further kitchen utensils.
Towels and bed linen are provided of course available.
The apartment is located on the first floor and has an elevator. There is also an elevator for disabled (Wheelchair), on the left side of the main entrance (see photo), which can also be used for the carriage of baby carriages and luggage.
The apartment is furnished in a modern and elegant style. The mattresses are new and very comfortable.
Below the apartment is a coffee shop, where excellent breakfast is served at very reasonable prices.
The beach and the famous 'Antonio Banderas Promenade' is located directly opposite the house and invites you to all kinds of outdoor activities.

We loved the area and the view of the beach from the property. The apartment is very spacious and larger than expected. The only issue for us was the parking as we had a small van that wouldn't fit in the assigned parking stall so we had to find alternate public parking.
This place was lovely. Mercedes went out made our stay wonderful, too. She put many little touches in the apartment to make us feel at home. She also made wonderful suggestions to set us up for success, such as a charming beach restaurant for lunch, a street lined with dining, and a mini grocery, all within very easy walking distance. Fantastic place and host.
Recently beautifully remodeled with easy access to the beach, bike path, and outdoor calisthenics gym on the beach across the street! Grocery store in the building next door, restaurants on the beach and in the neighborhood! A gorgeous walk to the historic downtown! Kitchen and bathrooms have everything you need to make yourself at home. Truly a remarkable vacation spot!
Fabulous apartment in a great location. It’s about 2 kilometres from the centre of town and easy to walk into. The beach is a stones throw away and lots of cafes and restaurants. We had a fantastic few days in Malaga.
Great location across from the beach. Apartment was fully stocked with everything you would need. We stayed for eight days and accommodations were beyond expectations. A block away was a Carefour express grocery store that had everything at good prices. Very enjoyable week at this property. Thank you
Everything about the property was welcoming. We were met by the property manager and shown around the apartment., it’s spacious and has excellent views of the promenade. Although near a busy road you cannot hear the traffic, there is a brilliant supermarket just a walk away, everything was well thought out. Will definitely be staying again.
What a wonderful property! Mercedes you are an absolute gem! Such a great host. We couldn't ask for a better location, right across the street from the beach. All the restaurants in the area, delicious. A close walk to the nearest grocery store and a decent walk to the train station.

It is a lovely apartment, very tastefully set up and is in a great location. The living area and three of the four bedrooms have beautiful views out onto the sea. There are two glassed in balcony areas, which are lovely to sit in with a coffee and watch the world go by. The beds are extremely comfortable and there is everything you need for your stay - hairdryers, toiletries, kitchen essentials etc. We were met by Mercedes at check in and she was very friendly and helpful, letting us check in early, and leave our cases at the end of the stay. She was always responsive to texts and very accommodating.The road in front of the apartment is busy, so there is road noise if you have the windows open, but with the windows shut it is well insulated. The apartment is in a great area - lovely restaurants, bars and ice cream shops nearby. It would be good for young families with the beach across the road and children's play areas. Also there are lovely walks along the promenade to the west (quieter) or to the east into the port area, city centre and old town - about 30 minutes walk. We enjoyed Malaga - a mix of great tourist attractions but also a typical Spanish city too.
If you are considering a wonderful spot for you next visit to Malaga, we strongly recommend Mercedes apartment in Huelin. Communication with Mercedes was terrific, and check in/out a breeze. The apartment is fully stocked with everthing you will need including beach towels. We were even greeted with some lovely staples to start us off -- so very thoughtful!
As previous reviewers have stated, it's in a great location across from the beach and just about a 30 walk to Malaga Centro. Lots of great restaurants and bars close by -- we especially loved Chuptirya for the great seafood and the little El Chispito bar for a glass of wine on our way home (the owner was lovely!). We also recommend Chiringuito Los Compadres. The beach is much better than the one across the street. You can rent two sunbeds and an umbrella for 10 euros. The staff are marvellous and the food terrific, fresh, and reasonably priced.
