Son Grec is a beautiful old house with a fantastic garden and pool area, with lots of art to admire and if you're there at the right time - the wonderful smell of orange blossom on the breeze. It is so lovely and peaceful there and the staff are all so helpful that we would almost like to keep it as our secret. We had a fantastic 10 day stay, a lovely spacious room with beautiful view, we were able to unwind and relax. We cannot thank Jose and his staff - Marie Cruz, Iolanda, Mariela and Marta to name a few - for every little detail to make our stay comfortable down to recommendations for restaurants and making bookings for us. Most restaurants are a 15-20 minute walk which we found perfect to enjoy the warm evenings. If you are not physically able you may need to book a taxi. There is lots to see and do within a short distance of this area. Jose arranged a hire car for us for a few days so we could enjoy going a bit further afield. If you like walking there is plenty of opportunities in the mountains or near the coast. The town of Soller is beautiful and unspoilt with lots of options for eating and drinking. We intend to go again and would have no hesitation recommending Son Grec to family and friends.

There was very little not to like. The accommodation was lovely, the staff were excellent and extremely helpful. Breakfast/lunch was also very good. The walk to Soller was an easy 10/15 minutes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back.

Couple's stay
Our stay at Son Grec Petite exceeded all of our expectations. After having a rough start to our trip having delayed flights that meant we missed our first night and on top of that our luggage was lost for three days, the hotel staff were nothing short of amazing throughout our stay. From the personal calls prior to arrival to making calls on our behalf the staff (Gunta and Gaelle) made the whole experience incredibly enjoyable. In addition to the personal service, the hotel also exceeded all of our expectations. The rooms are immaculate, the grounds incredibly well maintained, and the location just outside of the city is perfect as everything is in walking distance but you feel like you are in your own personal oasis. The other component that needs to be highlighted is their dining. The breakfasts are of top quality and the Monday and Wednesday catering for a taste of Spain was some our best dining of the trip. We will definitely be returning to this hotel and we can't thank them enough for creating an environment that allows everyone to unwind.

Fantastic - can't fault at all
A beautiful small hotel that manages to strike the perfect balance between home and hotel - you really cannot fault this place, the grounds, the rooms, the food and the team who run it. A lesson in how to run a truly top class boutique hotel, will definitely return.

Nice hotel located between Soller & Port of Soller
We stayed at the suite 12 at the pool; this room has a private terrace and is nicely and simply decorated, rather quiet, although at the pool side. We were happy with the room. The general impression of the hotel is that entrance is very nice, good parking, very nice quiet area among the orange and lemon gardens, located between the small town of Soller and the Port of Soller, with nice walking tracks departing from the hotel. The people working at the hotel really try hard to satisfy all the clients requests with kindness and care. Breakfast is nice as well. This said, some minor points to our point of view: the hotel has many strange art pieces that might look disturbing to the eyes , but that's a personal taste; there are quite many guests and it feels like a hotel, not a guesthouse; There's a big sign at the pool that states the rules (this is not the kind of sign one wants to look at while swimming); the smell in the rooms could be improved; also a coffee machine would be nice in the room, i would expect glass and no plastic recipient for teeth washing in the bathroom, So generally to my own taste, i would have less tables in the breakfast/dining area, remove that ugly sign and improve the smell and exchange some little accessories that really makes it worth the money.

Dear ariane, Thank you very much for your review and for taking the time to share your experience at SON GREC. We are a 13 rooms Petit Resort, with a maximum of 26 guests (by default) for a 12.000 square meters property. Our smallest room has 35 sqm, and the biggest 60 sqm. In the case of you room, it has 45 sqm with a Private Terrace of 30 sqm. In that sense, we don't really perceive a real lack of space. As you may understand, though, during your stay (August) it is peak season in Mallorca... If you mention the concept "guesthouse", we may understand, then, that we've made you feel like at home, which is our main goal, and we are extremely glad about it. However, we are still a hotel, where our guests are around, enjoying our facilities and services, as you partially did. Respecting everyones space and intimacy, relaxed and calmed. As your case was too. Regarding the signs by the pool, that's mandatory information that we have to include by law. We do consider that it is useful information (about the pool hours, its depth, etc). But having a visible sign like that is just attached to the Public Regulations for Hotels with a pool in Spain. Exactly the same case for the glasses that you mention. We have to provide new and disinfected plastic glasses with a clean cover per room at the bathroom for every new check-in. You still have other 4 recipient two mugs and two glasses (made of proper glass) for the minibar drinks and the kettle. But for Health Public Regulations as well, we can't do that in the bathroom. And finally, besides the kettle with coffee and tea that we include in all our room categories, the Espresso Coffee machine you demand is at your disposal in our Grand Suite category. We encourage you to book that category next time, so you can enjoy that and other special extra services. Thank you very much again.

Superb stay.
Lovely welcome and check in, very accommodating even though we arrived early. Beautiful room, cool with good air conditioning, very comfortable bed, super bathroom and outside area. Absolutely gorgeous pool and gardens and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Can’t wait to go again!

Son Grec - Paradise in Mallorca
Son Grec was amazing. It's a smallish "resort" nestled in the middle of an orange orchard with 13 rooms. Very quaint and beautiful. Perfect hub for hikes around Soller. 10-15 min walk into town to some great restaurants or eat dinner at Son Grec provided by an amazing chef and staff. I can't say enough about the friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable staff - accessible but not pushy - just a delight.

Tranquil Retreat
This hotel is outstanding and the whole team provide an exceptional service to its guests. The location is peaceful yet minutes away from the town centre and from lovely walks. There is car parking and free wifi. The breakfast has a wow factor and all superb quality. Can't wait for our next trip.

Secluded hotel with beautiful grounds & an excellent pool. As it has only 13 bedrooms, the pool area is never crowded & often feels like your own private villa. About a 12 minute walk into the town centre ; the initial part of walk on a one way , slightly busy road. Limited food menu. All in all, we spent a wonderful week there.

A delightful relaxing experience
The Son Grec was a lovely hotel. Breakfast served in the garden was delicious. Surrounded by the mountains it truly is a very peaceful and relaxing hotel. The food was all very nice, we had the tapas meal which was really good. The staff and owners were very helpful and very pleasant. We had a very enjoyable holiday and the only thing that spoiled it was having to come home!

A little piece of Paradise
We had a wonderful stay at Son Grec. It is a beautiful hotel with lots of homely touches. Very friendly and helpful team, who will go over and above to help. Amazing breakfasts and peaceful location within walking distance of town. We had a throughly good time and we can't wait to go back!
