"I loved wandering around the property and read all about the history and life of the building since it was built well over 100 years ago. The plaques located around the hotel are a lovely reminder of what the building has been through in its lifetime, and how times have changed giving a little glimpse into the past. Buffet breakfast was great, didn’t get a chance to spend time at the bar but it was a great stay, likely will stay again"

"Only complaint was when ordering coffee after dinner. I asked for a sweetener to be made available. It was put into one of our coffees. Unfortunately, it was the wrong coffee! Please make the sachets available to your guests as you cannot know how much is actually required!' The light meals we had were pleasant but nothing exciting. We unfortunately missed breakfast but that was our fault due to timing. Thank you for the breakfast packs made available instead."

"Loved our stay at the StandardX! Exceptionally designed property in a fantastic, central location. The Rose St artist markets are next-door on the weekend and well worth a visit. The staff were all lovely and very helpful, the rooftop bar is fantastic - perfect spot for a few sunset drinks. We also had drinks in our room on Friday afternoon before heading out and I was pleasantly surprised by how good their spicy marg and martinis are. The room was very clean and comfortable. Overall we had an excellent stay and will definitely be back!"
