Peace and beauty in Mandeville

My 21-day stay at Casa da Buena Vista was wonderful. It is located in a very nice neighbourhood that is within walking distance to town. I enjoyed breakfast in the garden while watching and listening to birds, including hummingbirds and canaries. The host, Richard, was very helpful and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The grounds are very peaceful and beautiful. Every day was a good day- for 21 days.

This rustic, centrally located home has 4 apartments for rent. Our apartment was so quaint, clean and safe. Also very quiet. Our host Richard made our trip even more enjoyable with making and serving breakfast while sitting and sharing stories with us about his many adventures. We really enjoyed the gardens and exotic flowers and the lychee tree that was actually bearing fruit so we were able to enjoy them as well. Richard recommended dinner at Voila by Leelee Saturday night and Toast Sunday night. Both restaurants did not disappoint and were incredibly delicious. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at Casa for one week, as we needed to visit family in Mandeville. Richard was an excellent host and treated us well. From the first night of our arrival, he was super helpful and continued to be so throughout our stay. We enjoyed Casa, the facilities and grounds were well maintained and the room was comfortable. We had breakfast each morning prepared for us, and special requests were accommodated with no problem. We will be recommending Casa to people we know who will be visiting Mandeville and need a place to stay.

Richard is a very friendly and accomodating host and though the property itself feels a bit worn, his cheerful disposition will brighten your day and make you feel as though you're staying at a friend's house. Don't expect too much, just go with the flow, relax and enjoy your stay and you will come away with a good feeling that is typical of Jamaica. Love and respect.

Cozy home away from home

I absolutely enjoyed my 4nights stay here. The location is perfect and the check in process was smooth. The ambiance was warm and inviting for guest to feel comfortable. The space is clean, when I say clean I mean CLEAN and the hot water was on point. Richard the host was so welcoming and friendly. The complimentary coffee, tea and water was a nice added touch. I will without a doubt be back again....
