Mixed review on this hotel. Great location for a downtown stay. Overall the property is good. They have a secure location, but noticed lots of unlocked areas during our stay.
The room was mostly clean but needed a more through cleaning under the counters and in corners.
The front desk staff was often away from the front for long periods of time. The bartenders while friendly and kind were not good at mixing drinks. They turned the lights off on us mid conversation 30 minutes prior to the posted closing time.
Limited parking that didnt seem to be enforced, which is frustrating since it was $35 a night for those that were honest.
Its a good hotel if you're looking for the basics and not much more.

Got charged an extra $54 in gratuity for breakfast when I didn’t really pay that amount. Whoever was my server on that morning must have added it in. Considering the over $3k I spent here on 3 separate trips, it was disappointing. And of course there was as usual ‘breakfast is not really included ‘ issue even though you paid through Expedia already. $22 per person is covered which seems quite ok unless you have staff that write in extra tips.

The staff was VERY friendly and helpful,
Room was clean and comfortable, I used the fitness center, and was impressed

"This was such a unique property!!! We were very close to the Civic Center and even walked to the Rib Fest. Felt completely safe. We were there for the Senior Games in Mankato. Had a wonderful time!! I highly recommend this property!! You will be very pleased!"
