Great unit. Great location.

Super convenient location to explore the quaint village of Manteo. Walk to the shops, restaurants and historical sights. Wonderfully restored interior space in an older home. Nicely appointed, comfortable bed, and great a/c. Would highly recommend.

Great Experience

Accommodations were exactly as depicted. Well maintained and extremely comfortable. Within walking distance of downtown Manteo and waterfront. Beautifully landscaped grounds.

Nice and clean, there happened to be some exterior construction going on during my stay but workers were nice and didn't start too early. Just meant I had to park across the street. Location is good and a short walk to downtown shops. Would stay again.

Thanksgiving get away

We traveled down Thanksgiving evening and spent the weekend in Manteo. The Downtowner is our favorite place to stay. The stores and restaurants are within walking distance.

Convenient and spacious.

Central location to downtown Manteo and easy drive to Outer Banks beaches. Very clean and quite roomy. Super comfortable bed and livingroom. Very modern bathroom with a terrific shower.

Manteo is a quaint little town along the sound. The Downtowner was in walking distance to shops. It was a great place for a quiet get away for two. The location was also easily assessable to the beach area and restaurants across the bridge!

The Downtowner

We love this place. The property is so well kept with a little area to sit on the porch. It has a separate bedroom from the living room and it’s so comfortable. It is a short walk down to the Manteo waterfront for food and shopping and right across the street from the Outer Banks Distillery.

Just Perfect!

We loved our stay in Manteo and this guest house was clean, well-decorated, well-appointed, and perfect for our stay. The bed and furniture were very comfortable, and the garden is peaceful. We loved all of the shops and activities in and around Festival Park and the waterfront. The beaches are a quick drive across the bridge, as are many wonderful restaurants. We will return!

Getaway

Extremely clean with beautiful landscaping and immaculate yard with exterior gazebo and covered porch. Both the gazebo and porch had chairs with small table. Interior has both wood siding and wood floors with throw rugs. A real gem near downtown Manteo.

Cute and great location!

Not having used a non-hotel lodging arrangement before, we were cautious about staying in one. I chose this property based on the attractive pictures and excellent reviews, which did not disappoint. The property was so cute and exactly as the pictures show - very clean and well decorated, with older home charm. We liked the location, the area was quiet and walkable to downtown Manteo, and just a quick drive to Nags Head attractions. We enjoyed this more than a generic hotel and felt we got more for less money, and would stay here again if we travel to the area.

Awesome Anniversary Weekend

Richard is an awesome host and was always in communication with us especially with Tropical Storm Idalia that went thru 48 hours before. You would never knew it came thru the Outer Banks. The place was very quite and wonderful for us. Walkable to the down area to eat and enjoy the local festivities. We will be back .

Manteo Garden Gem

This was a comfortable accommodation with an enjoying garden to hang out in. The walkability to all the cute town of Manteo was fantastic. We enjoyed walking to the coffee shop everyday and the distillery across the street was a fun place to spend the evenings. It is an easy drive to all of the OBX and we liked calling this home for a couple of days. One suggestion, move the kitchenette items from the bedroom and into the living room area with the dining table. I would have enjoyed being able to make my coffee not in the room my husband was trying to sleep in or hearing the refrigerator all night long. But this was a minor nuisance of our stay
