, bar etc.), overlooking ocean and nice history - over 100 years old. First time I’d stayed there and only negatives: there was very little atmosphere - restaurant and bar were almost empty each night. Perhaps due to the political issues in Mozambique at the time, there were less travellers. More annoying was breakfast though - after the first morning (which was typical breakfast buffet), they changed without warning to a table...

, great room service, etc. I can go on and on. I felt extremely comfortable and safe at this property. But most of all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This hotel had everything. And they upgraded me for free to the residencial side which is much better and has nice balcony overlooking city. Will definitely stay here again whenever i am in Maputo!"

"The hotel was kind of located on the outskirts or everywhere. It was a nice place, but with no other restaurants or stores around. You had to catch a car wherever you wanted to go. There was only one restaurant, but the food was pretty good. The bar was limited. "

"The Katebe Gallery was an amazing place to stay. Right on the beach with a beautiful view of Maputo. The staff are top tier and very friendly and helpful. Only downside (if you could call it that) is that the area is very quiet with not much going on in the evening- and everything requires a taxi across the bridge "
