Oceanfront Sandy Beach Vacation Rental Unit 1

  • We have two oversized second story apartments directly on a private Sandy Beach. Both apartments have had complete renovations completed December, 2017, with new kitchens, new bathrooms, floors, etc. Each unit sleeps a maximum of 4 people. Rent with rental number 9131033 (separate reservation and fees) to sleep up to 8 people. Walk from your front door onto a large sand bar in the Atlantic Ocean. Watch the sunrise and sunset from this uniquely located private triplex. Tie up your boat directly behind the property on the sandbar or dockage and boat launch available across the street on the Bay side. Amazing sea life right at the beach, stingrays, puffer fish crabs, shark. Fish right from the shore. When tide is out you can walk hundreds of feet into the ocean on the sand bar. We also have two kayaks for you use

    These units each accommodates 4 people with 1 King bed, A queen sized sofa bed and a rollaway bed available. Rent with mirror image unit next door to accommodate 8.

    We are in a very unique natural habitat. There are times, depending on the tides, when thick seaweed, rocks, and other items wash up on our shoreline. We recommend always wearing water shoes.

A tranquil beachfront getaway with white sands, swaying palms, and stunning ocean view

This was the perfect vacation spot for my husband and I. Perfect sunrise & Sunsets about 49 minutes from Key West. A 10 minute drive to Sombrera beach. This was perfect to get a at from daily hustle and bustle and relax. Was perfect quiet get away just what we needed .

Belated Anniversary Trip

Our second trip to Marathon. We stayed on the other side of the same property this trip. Beautiful place, very clean. Sunrises are a must see. Absolutely breathtaking and the view at this property couldn’t be better. Had a wonderful, peaceful trip. Can’t wait to go back and can’t imagine staying anywhere else.

Beautiful, Comfortable & Perfect

We loved being on the water. The creatures that live in the water in the Keys were remarkable to see. The area around the property was quiet and well kept. The inside of our bungalow was very comfortable and well stocked. We loved it and will most likely be back next year.

Amazing property

This place is beautiful. It’s not really for swimming due to all the sea grass but it was perfect otherwise. The property manager was very fast at responding to questions. It’s centrally located which was fantastic! The house itself could have used a good cleaning due to cobwebs and ants but otherwise it was the perfect size for the two of us! We loved it!

Anniversary Trip

We loved our location as we were trying to find a place central to things we wanted to do. We went to Key West a couple of days. We also spent a day in Islamorada at Theater of the Seas. Andrew was easy to contact and very responsive to our questions. We stayed 7 nights and only saw our neighbors one night. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We only were given 2 rolls of toilet paper for the week so it was close to running out but we made do. There could have been some soap for the bathroom to wash hands but we made do by just buying a bottle at the dollar store. We looked everywhere but didn't see a pizza cutter....other than that we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this place and we are already thinking about coming back someday! Marathon

Great location. Nice upgrades in kitchen and bathroom. Living room ac didn’t work correctly. It was reported but never fixed. The dining room fan and light didn’t work. Kitchen light went out on the 3rd day. The light socket on lamp by from door was falling apart. (Unsafe) The outside beach area was covered with trash. I spent about an hour picking broken glass and trash. It wasn’t the situation but we made the best of it and had and great time. We won’t go back.

Amazing Central Location in the Keys

We had a wonderful time at this property. The home was clean and well cared for. The furniture was comfortable and in good shape. Everything you needed for preparing meals, including some spices. (No storage containers for leftovers, so buy ziplocs if you're like us and always have leftovers.) The view was gorgeous. We saw so many birds at low tide picking through the sea grass for their meals. The kayaks were a definite bonus. The water was clear and shallow. Definitely bring some good water shoes if you're not a fan of walking through the sea grass to get out onto the water. The bed and the pillows were comfortable. Linens and towels were provided, along with access to a washer and dryer. The only "challenge" we had was extra noise - the air conditioners were noisy, and the road noise was there, but expected with where the house is. The neighboring house is very close. It is also a short term rental with lots of yard games and a couple of units. (Cornhole would be an awesome addition to this property) They were inside and quiet by 11, so it wasn't too bad. We used the fire pit one night and enjoyed it. The location was fantastic. Right in the middle of the keys, so a good spot to head out and explore from. Marathon is close and has everything you might need while in the keys. I would stay again!

Not what I expected

First of all...the very first picture online is not the property. I'm not sure where it is but it is not this property. The property is right on the ocean and is a nice beach but does have lots of grass in the water. The bedroom picture, the picture with pelicans on the dock are also not this property. The owner is not very communicative. There was supposed to be an inspection while we were there and I left him a message about it. No answer from owner, no text or any kind of communication. The stairs and the wooden railing need to be updated. The stairs themselves are warped and the railing is loose so be careful. The AC in the living is not working the way it should but it did keep the room cool enough to be comfortable. Positive things are that the couches, table etc were awesome. The kitchen has everything that you need but it doesn't have a dishwasher. It didn't matter for the two of us but it might for others. It also has an icemaker in the refrigerator but it doesn't work so you have to break out ice cubes from trays and refill. The property was very clean but the outside was more scattered. We did have a good time. The property isn't perfect but it was comfortable and was a nice place to come home to at the end of a busy day of touristing in the Florida Keys!

This property was awesome! So relaxing to sit out by the ocean on the private little beachy area. It is located in Marathon, which is in the middle of the Keys. We spent the week travelling up and down the area. My husband and I throughly enjoyed ourselves!

Absolutely wonderful place, immaculate, beautiful, comfortable, and excellent communication by owners! The location is right where you want to be when exploring the keys. It's very quiet and off the beaten path but so close to everything. There is a close market, 2 minute walk at most, to grab a quick bite and morning coffee. The following photos are your view! Paul was responsive to a question we had which was much appreciated. The duplex was nicely appointed and comfortable. Loved access to the kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and water shoes. There was firewood provided for the fire pit. Great sunrises and right on the bike path. Just two doors down from a nice meat market/deli/bakery/restaurant. Would definitely stay there again.
