Closest lodging to North Cascades NP, convenient for hikers and visitors, would NOT be convenient for people traveling with kids. Rooms are small but well-appointed, parking was sufficient. We stayed on the first floor in a Queen with private, attached bath. Upstairs rooms share a bathroom. Check-in was easy once we figured out which door to go in, other guests were polite (yes, you can hear people walking above you and down the stairwell, but it wasn't bad), and the deep plush carpet was a lovely balm to sore feet after long hikes. The floors are a little sloped (historic building) and the shower was small and had a leaky showerhead, but the water was warm and plentiful. Great vibes, loved the decor of the place. Easy walk across the bridge to a great park with a boat launch, easy walk to Mondo's and Upriver restaurants. No staff onsite but there were great snacks in the mini-fridges and on the microwave, with coffee. Very clean. Check out equally as easy as check in. Highly recommend for couples. Definitely only room for 2 people in a room.

Clean room , easy parking, close proximity to a good restaurant and a morning coffee kiosk. Nice amenities and quiet. A wonderful place to stay after hiking various beautiful trails on the north cascades
Perfect location for a more-than-one-day trip at North Cascades National Park! Hotel was great with cleanliness, service response time, utilities, and location with restaurants nearby within walking distance.
Easy to check in, room was clean and they had free snacks in the mini fridge. You can hear the people above you as they walk in your room is on first floor. Overall it was a good stay. The area around it has 2 good restaurants and 2 gas stations, all walkable. If you're heading to North Cascades, it's a great location, very close by
Quiet and comfortable !
Shared bathroom facilities with other rooms but not a problem, beds great and local eating options makes for a comfortable stay. This little mountain village is awesome to visit.
Awesome quick little overnight before exploring NCNP the next day. Room was clean and cozy, but my absolute favorite part was they left you snacks in the fridge to enjoy that day and before you depart on your journey. You also get a discount at the Bar & Grill across the street if you stay here. Slept comfortably and had an awesome time.
It didn't really get the real idea of what are room was going to be. We couldn't fit our suitcases in the room it was so small. I really didn't get it that we would be sharing a bathroom? The two restaurants were good beside the hotel. I think that should do a better job of describing the room that you'll get

Fine place to stay
There aren't a lot of options in the area and this is a bare bones, but sufficient space. They clearly made big efforts to keep the linens and shared bathrooms clean, which I appreciate. The building itself, including the carpeting is very old and there is a strong musty odor. It wasn't overly comfortable, but it was sufficient. If you choose room 11, please note that it is a tight space for two adults.
Good location for our trip. We utilized the suggested grill across the street which. I think was owned by same people. Our room was clean and quiet. Shared spaces were not an issue

My teens and I stayed 1 night so we could enjoy the fall colors in the N Cascades. Brenda texted with all the details about check-in, which was really helpful! We were pleased with the comfort of our room after our hike, and my teens were happy with the thoughtful addition of hot cocoa, Capri suns, and muffins for breakfast the next day! The beds were comfortable and we slept well. We loved being so close that we could do a longer hike the next day.
