It’s a great location, quiet and private feeling while also being walking distance to Mont St Michel (and even closer to the bus stop, if you want to skip the walk). "Good hotel if you want to see Mont Saint Michele, bus goes regularly from just across the road, takes about 5 minutes. Ample parking outside the hotel. Overall the Hotel was very good, nothing fancy but clean, staff are nice, breakfast was good too. Would recommend."
"The location of the hotel is amazing: right by a shuttle stop to Mont Saint-Michel, with amazing views from the restaurant, terrace, and some of the rooms. It is also right beside the damn which offers a space to relax and to watch the sunset. We had a garden room with a view of the top of the Abbey and lots of greenery around. The room was large with a nice balcony. The bed was also large (maybe a king?) and comfortable. The hotel is quite dated though, mostly evidenced by the badly stained...

"Staying on Mont st Michel was a wonderful experience. The room I stayed in while small, was still charming and offered a fantastic view over the ramparts. Do note, the entire building is tiny, with tight staircases and no possibility of an elevator getting installed. Par for the course for anything many centuries old."

Room was fairly basic but a view to die for, just spectacular.
Mt St Michel is magnificent, at night it becomes magical. The abbey lit up at night was amazing.
La mere Poulard was ok, friendly reception and good sized, old fashioned room with important fridge, bottled water and fan (essential for the summer).
Breakfast was good, eggs, bacon, charcuterie, fresh pastries and breads and freshly made gluten free bread.
The rooms are dripping in history.
Worth it just to experience the Mt and Abbey at night and early morning before it is swamped with visitors.
