"We have been coming to Portsmouth for a long weekend for each of the last few years and we love to stay at Hotel Thaxter. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Everything is clean and inviting. Rooms are really nice. Location can't be beat. Highly recommend."

"What a find! Perfect accommodations for our party of 5. Just a quick overnight before between a Maine vacation and flight out of Logan. Obviously brand new renovation, everything you could need is here! Step out into Market Square and everything you need is right there. Be aware you are on a busy street so be prepared for some city sounds, but it didn't stop us from having a great night's sleep in comfy beds. Plenty of linens, blankets, and towels - plus fully outfitted kitchen and bath. Exceptional!! Street parking was easy right outside the front door, and there was a parking garage around the corner for longer stays."
