Excellent location. Amazing staff. Spacious beautiful and clean rooms all overlooking a grand pool. Beach relatively close. Food could use improvement.

The beach is phenomenal and within walking distance from the hotel. the color and clarity of the water are unique. the hotel is quite nice and clean and the breakfast and lunch buffet were good.

Jaz Tamerina is one of 5 hotels located on Almaza bay. Three are beachfront( Almaza, Crystal and Oriental ) which have easy beach access and rooms with at least side sea view. The less expensive Tamerina is behind Oriental and The even less expensive Alminzo is further back from the beach The entire resort is beautiful and very well maintained. Spectacular scenery from green landscaping followed by white sand and then blue/green sea water. I had a couple of minor issues but the extremely competent manager of Tamerina ( Sameh) promptly resolved them. The staff is very friendly and there is no shortage in workers here. Overall; the resort is excellent but it could easily be better because of the following; 1) wifi is unsecured and limited to reception and nearby areas. This could be fixed by proper router security setting and boosting its range. 2) even though the resort is sparkling clean, there is a little bit of plastic trash on the beach and on the adjacent rocky island . Hiring workers to actively clean the beach and island is more important than hiring food servants who prematurely clear out tables and unnecessarily carry food plates to the tables of perfectly capable guests. 3) Tamerina does not have direct access to the beach but there are ‘on demand golf cars’ to drive guests there. Alternatively you can walk to the beach ( through Oriental) but expect to be questioned by security if you are local or look non European. Security are in dire need of training.
