A good 'traveler's hotel' conveniently located close to the Saint-Charles train station (though, if you have wheeled luggage, you have to make a long detour to avoid the large staircase in front of the train station). The included breakfast was good.

Rugby trip, Saturday night.
Great stay. Came for the rugby, left early morning. Managed to get breakfast because it starts early. Really close to the train station. Excellent.

Staff was very friendly. The area felt unsafe but nothing actually happen. The hotel is conveniently half a block from the train station stairs (which is what we were looking for).

I was disappointed in this hotel as it was not up to other Ibis Style standards. It is a basic hotel. It was clean with nice sheets and towels. No cupboard space to unpack clothes so room does not invite you to stay long. Good breakfast.

Basic Room - No Kettle
Very basic room - no kettle or bottled water. Room size was fine and tv with chromecast a nice touch.Staircases and lobby had a pungent aroma.

An itchy experience
Hotel well located if you need an early morning train. Friendly reception staff. However, bedbugs tarnished my stay. Got a really strong reaction and now have to be on steroids. Pest control may need to fumigate all rooms as a preventive measure for future guests. Stains on the only bathroom towel provided, toilets flushing button not sealed properly which came off, etc. I have enjoyed all Ibis/Accor group experiences I have had in the past in other French cities/abroad. This was not my most enjoyable stay.

Good stay and great team
At first, we tought the images were not in line with the expectations, but finally we realised they was a patio with an area to work which was oir initial need for our stay. The team was friendly and helpful at all time. Hotel is well located if you travel in and out of the gare saint charles. Breakfast is good.

3 night stay
The room was larger than i expected, with a double bed and a proper bathroom with shower. The room was warm, but had no closet, just a little table in a corner. I stayed in a room close to the elevator facing an inner patio. I never heard the elevator while I was in the room, the only noise I heard was the toilet flushing from the room above. The breakfast selection was very good! The hotel is located right next to the train station, the area is a bit rough, but I never felt unsafe.

A lovely stay
We had a lovely stay. The star even though they know little English they were still helpful and welcomed our little dog. The room was basic but very clean. Breakfast selection was good too. Car park close by and if you're lucky you might find a parking in the street :)

A lovely stay
We arrived around midnight and even though the receptionist didn't know how to speak in English well he still went out of his way to help us. The room was really clean and the bed super comfortable. My dog loved the welcome given by the hotel staff too:)

Excellent Hotel for a Budget Price
Overall, I was very happy with my stay. The hotel is right next to the train station which was perfect for me since I was arriving late at night and renting a car next to the station upon my departure. The room was small, but for the price it was excellent. It was very clean and the furnishings were great, including those in the bathroom. The bed was soft and comfortable and the AC worked very well. The only thing that wasn’t excellent was the front desk service the night I arrived. There were two employees more concerned with talking to one another than with checking guests in. The desk clerk refused to respond to me in French although I was asking questions and answering questions in French. I am in France for an immersive experience and did not appreciate his attitude. If the front desk service was as excellent as the rest of the hotel, this would have gotten a perfect 10 from me.

I found the hotel difficult to find from the railway station due to 3 hotels with similar names close by and with Ibis in the name. The floor of the room wasn’t clean but otherwise the room was ok for a 1 night stay.

Great stay
The hotel is in a convenient location near the train station. Front desk staff was helpful with checking my luggage early and with information about local sights. Air conditioning was a blessing in the middle of a heat wave. Breakfast was nice too.

Small cozy feeling hotel. Triying to use colour, maps and quirky patterns to jazz up property. Nice try though doesn’t always work. But cleanliness and genuinely helpful if unassuming staff a positive. Dull stained carpet in corridors a let down to a property which was otherwise spotlessly clean. Amazing value with breakfast included.

Good enough and cheap for short stay
This hotel is perfect for short stay (like one night). Room and bathroom are renovated and clean. I like view from the window on the street (we lived in 311-th room). We took a breakfast outside, in the pattiserie 'La Jocond' (just couple doors from the hotel toward train station). Unfortunately, there is no Wi-Fi in the room (however, there is Wi-Fi in the lobby, close to the reception)

Misleading map.
The main thing about my stay was finding the hotel. It is not where it showed on the map also it still have the na,e Hotel Balladins onthe outside. So, a hotel with a different name in a different place to that shown on the map was a nice surprise at 10.30pm. The room itself was small, but in good recently renovated condition. It was rather warm, and the air con was a bit of a mystery, but I slept ok despite this. I was not offered breakfast but at €9 mentions on the booking I would not bother as I would suggest there are better options locally. So if you stay here check the location on google maps. It I should still convenient for the station, but not where it claims on the map. Go down the big flight of steps, cross straight over the road and it is a few down the road on the left.

This property was conviently located right at the train Stn, which was important to us. What we didn’t realize was it was in a bad part of town. The front enterence is smoke friendly so we weren’t happy with that, but the units are on a different floor and not impacted by the smoke. The room was the tiniest room I’ve ever been in, but it worked for us. The bathroom was spotless clean. Overall for the low cost, it’s worth a stay of the train Stn is important along your journeys.

Staff very friendly. Hotel does not have reliable wifi in the rooms and no sign on outside of hotel to say the name. Work off street number only. Good for short stay-bed comfortable and linen clean and very close to station. Bathroom reasonably clean but no toilet paper left when got into room.

Ideal location
Ideally located on the main drag down to town just 10 mins to the harbour. Took a while to find it as the hotel name was covered up. Presumably they’ve had a name change. Parking at the station is ideal just a short walk away with reduced rates if you ask at the hotel.
