"We recently stayed at Sos Giajos Rural House and absolutely loved it. The setting is everything I hoped for — idyllic, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful valley views that make you feel like you’re tucked away in your own corner of Sardinia. It’s wonderfully private, yet still only a short drive from Tergu, Nulvi, Castelsardo, and all the amenities you might need, which makes the location feel perfectly balanced.Despite being in such a rural spot, the house is comfortable, well equipped, and a brilliant base for exploring the northern part of the island. I found it easy to reach beaches, historic towns, and inland sights and viewpoints and be able to return late afternoon for a cool off in the pool.A special mention goes to Baldassare, who was an attentive and thoughtful host throughout our stay. And although the house feels blissfully remote, the Wi Fi was genuinely very good.Overall, Sos Giajos is a peaceful, scenic retreat with real character. It was a private, relaxing, and ideally placed for discovering the north of the island. I’d happily return."

"The house was spotlessly clean; normally we wash the tableware before use, but that was unnecessary this time. Angelo and Rita were incredibly friendly and helpful. If anything was amiss, they responded instantly with a solution. The only minor downside was that there was only one set of towels per person. Luckily, extra towels were easily bought at the nearby supermarket and they were not expensive at all. From the outside, the cottage looks like a small, primitive Sardinian dwelling, but inside it is incredibly cozy and fully equipped. The view of the surrounding mountains is fantastic, and near the pool, you can see the sea. You can hear the charming sound of cowbells from the herd grazing freely in the valley; it is wonderful to scan the landscape and spot where the animals are. The house is secluded and offers a lot of privacy. Because the property is situated so peacefully and high in the mountains, the water pressure can drop once a week. After a quick text to Angelo, this is resolved in no time. The location is ideal if you want to explore the island by car. Even Cagliari in the south is within a 2.5-hour drive. Porto Cervo (with its jet-set holiday homes) and the Costa Smeralda are perfect for a day trip. Alghero, Sassari, and Stintino are the closest to visit. In short, we had an amazing holiday! Thank you, Angelo and Rita, for opening up your cottage."
