Very nice experience

We had a small but nice room with ocean view and a veranda with direct access to the beach. Clean room, comfortable beds and aircon. The manager, Jamal, and his staff are extremely nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant serves fresh fish and shellfish and other tasty dishes.

Paradise on Earth! What a wonderful place to stay. Friendly helpul staff. Clean,quiet,comfortable room. EXCELLENT food. Located near village market. Beautiful beach just footsteps away! I'll definitely be back!

ne adresse parfaite

Nous avons passé 4 nuits au Panga Chumvi Hotel. Tout s'est très bien passé. Le personnel est vraiment très sympathique et toujours prêt à nous aider. La chambre (studio face à l'océan) sans être luxueuse est parfaite pour un séjour "les pieds dans l'eau". Très calme, lit confortable, petit déjeuner super dans la tradition tanzanienne. La piscine est vraiment très bien et le jardin est parfaitement entretenu. Nous avons pris tous nos repas du soir au Panga Chumvi (coronavirus oblige, beaucoup d'établissements étaient fermés) Nous indiquions au gérant ce que nous souhaitions manger et il s'est très bien débrouillé. Excellents poissons et cigales de mer. Nous sommes allés faire du snorkeling en bateau près de l'ile Mnemba (je le recommande fortement, les fonds sont superbes et nous avons été escortés par des dauphins) que nous avons fait organiser par l'hôtel. Nous nous étions renseignés et les prix ne sont pas plus chers qu'en l'organisant par nous mêmes. De plus, le prix de la réservation est très doux quand on compare avec les autres hôtels à touristes (certes chambres peut être plus luxueuses, mais prix souvent 2 à 3 fois plus chers) Seul point négatif à noter : ne pas se baigner à marée basse. Beaucoup d'oursins dont certains sont très dangereux. Pas de souci à marée haute et on peut profiter de la piscine. Je conseille aussi d'aller faire un tour à la superbe plage de Kendwa (si vous êtes motorisés) et au quartier ancien de Stone Town. Bref, excellent séjour.

bon hôtel, double piscine à débordement... resto très bien le soir (boeuf saignant mariné au poivre incroyable); manque des parasols autour de la piscine, petit dej un peu léger. 3-4 restos locaux (Furaha, Garden Bob...) autour à faire à pied au nord (à moins de 30min), c'est tout. (bon) wifi partout.

We have been stayed at Panga Chumvi for 7 nights in August. The overall service is good, but they could improve in room cleaning and lunch/dinner service speed. - About room: despite we booked a non-sea-view, the sea was only 5-steps-far. It included al the basic needs you require for a stay, but sometimes was not cleaned very well (towels not changed daily). In addition, we had a “small” issue at our arrival: the shower’s faucet gave us the shocked when we open the water, but the issue was solved by the staff; - About food: the quality is very high (probably, the best rice in Matemwe) and daily updates based the daily caught. Prices are a bit less than the other resorts, but the quality is the same; - Beach: Panga Chumvi is located very closed to the in-sea way for the barrier reef. You will have your private beach, but it misses of private beach umbrellas and loungers (shared with the other guests)

Ho già segnalato due volte che ho subito un furto di denaro all'interno della camera; circa 400 tra euro dollari e moneta locale prelevati da portafogli differenti poi rimessi al loro posto dentro le valigie, senza segno alcuno di serratura forzata e con stanza regolarmente chiusa. Tale furto è avvenuto il primo giorno della permanenza e data la dinamica è da attribuirsi senz'altro al personale dello staff che ha operato in tal modo ( furto parziale) sperando evidentemente che io non me ne accorgessi. Nonostante abbia tempestivamente segnalato l'evento alla direzione, quest'ultima pur avendo riconosciuto la sicura attribuzione del furto al loro personale , non mi ha offerto nulla in risarcimento della somma sottratta Tale mancanza di attenzione verso la clientela è inqualificabile Pertanto sconsiglio vivamente il soggiorno in questa struttura
