"Loved that the sento (public bath) was included. The very reasonably priced breakfast was wonderful; don't miss it! All the staff were efficient and friendly . Mr. Kohata at the front desk and Ms. Kobayashi in the kitchen were especially helpful."
"Across the street from the train station, deteriorating surfaces throughout the hallways, the elevators and the rooms! That being said, with the exceptional friendliness of the staff at check-in, the phenomenal breakfast and dinner, for free, as well as the service displayed by taking my baggage up to the room and leaving a smiley note was exceptional!! I believe for being a Solo Traveler and just stand for one night, I can put up with a lot of minutiae, for the low price for the accommodation and the tremendous amount of food morning and evening with an exceptionally courteous and smiling reception staff and food caterers I would highly suggest people stay here and ignore the oldness and and some of the areas in the bathroom some mold because equality of the dinner and breakfast is beyond belief and it is free for a small room price! Thanks staff!"
"I was in love with this hotel the first time and subsequently stayed 2 more times for a total of 4 nights. My first room was a corner Japanese style room with lake view. I haven’t seen a more fully staffed hotel, it even has 2 parking staff directing traffic for 30 lots. The hotel has facilities like onsen, laundry, and a convenience store. My favorite is the amenities counter which is practically a buffet with things that I’ve never seen before at hotels, including cool wipes, salt tablets, shoe fresheners and toe pads. Only gripe is it is not near the station so it’s a 10 minute bus ride and 5 min walk. "
"What a wonderful stay, this location is off the beaten path for foreigners but it is such a hidden gem. It had an onsen, free drinks within a time limit, restaurant on premise, a show by performers every night, a beautiful garden and yukatas to borrow. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. Also while they do offer a shuttle, and bikes to rent, please make sure to inform them so they can be ready to take you/accomodare you. Please also make sure that if you book, you order with breakfast and dinner, because the nearest konbini is pretty far, and many local restaurants open later or close earlier. Will come back again if given the chance."
"For only one night, the staff here were friendly and accommodating. They made check in’s and check out’s easy and quick. The room was in a good location next to the elevator and the walk to the train station was in short time. The view was also amazing as well, would come back here again for my stay in Matsue"
