Spotlessly clean, perfectly located (literally around the corner from the train and bus station - about 2 minutes on foot; the castle and Matsumoto City Museum of Art about 10 minutes walk), fantastic buffet breakfast with a good selection of Japanese and western dishes), fully equipped bathrooms (complimentary body lotions, face creams, tooth brushes, razors, cotton buds, hair elastics - you name it).
The capsules were pristine and of generous size. Large lockers next to each pod. Upon check in you get given a cute cotton bag with bath and hand towel as well as some comfortable clothing to change into.
24 hour reception with friendly, kind, English speaking staff.
Good wi-fi plus, several computers available to guests, a little library with manga.
Oh, and there's a great bookshop on the same building as well as massive Daiso with great selection of ¥100 products.
I would recommend this place to any solo traveller, and if you're on a budget, this place will give you a welcome break from a typical hostel level of hospitalty.
