Outstanding service and location.
A nine minute hike from Matsumoto Station, your comfy, clean capsule isn’t far from good food and Nakamachi Street. A little further north is the best castle in Japan. 😉 The hosts are very kind. There’s a library of manga. Four Asahi beer tickets for 1000 yen is reasonable. Be sure to take advantage of the useful onsen. Pillow could be more voluptuous. You won’t have a problem waking up amidst everyone’s helpful alarms going off (despite signage prohibiting them). Enjoy your stay!

I booked the cabin type capsule. It bed was dark and quiet. The cabin had a little desk to eat or do some computer surfing. Japanese bath was nice as well. Clean and quiet in general. Negatives: Expedia said check in time was 2pm. But the hotel said 3pm. Had to wait around for an hour. Breakfast by reservation only. But convenience stores around the area.

Modern but strange.
Good location very handy for the main train station but also a little strange location inside a book store. The bath house rules were difficult to understand at first and staff spoke no English. The cabins were quiet though but the main issue was the confusing layout of the building.

The location was superb. 5 min walking distance to the train station and 2 minutes from the highland Express. the free bike rental was also convenient and the bathroom amenities included everything you can possibly need. I'd stay at this place again.

Could have stayed forever!
This was my first experience of the ‘capsule hotel’ trend and I was blown away! I felt foolish for packing anything when an exhaustive list of amenities (including a double cleansing skin regiment and multiple styles of hair dryers), pyjamas, towels and a laundry room where provided. There was even a library and bar! My one complaint was that male guests had access to a Japanese communal bath whilst the women’s area went without.

Impressively with free manga rental at this hostel. A man who really like manga , figure or plamo . I would like to suggest you to stay here and visit very cool toy store at the same building.

Perfect hotel for shopping. I was in heaven when we arrived at the M hotel to discover it was at the top of a building that had a department store and a Daiso on the lower floors. It was so convenient to pop down for a quick shop! The hotel was a short walk from the station. This hotel seemed to be more for local business people. The breakfast was Japanese style with a few western type food choices. The room was quite big, with everything that was needed. I chose the room with 2 beds and they were surprisingly large. There were tea/coffee making facilities. The room was clean and the hotel looked like it was recentlyrenovated.I wish we were there for longer than one night.We really liked this hotel and would stay here again if we were in Matsumoto.

New hotel close to Matsumoto station with fabulous facilities! Bright colourful interiors and a dining area where travellers can hang out. Free manga library. Coin operated laundry is convenient. Spacious room but not sure about the capsules. Friendly staff at reception.

We stayed here for several nights over a 10 day period and found this hotel to be excellent. The staff were all helpful, it was centrally located, had clothes washing facilities, a good breakfast and they were happy to store our large bags when we went walking in the mountains for a few days.

short walk from the station and it can be quite confusing to find with numerous signs but you can walk through the bookstore (maruzen) to the lift at the back where the washrooms are located. place is clean and organised with sufficient storage space for your belongings.

Fine for a quick night
Staff friendly and helpful. However you have to leave the room key at the front desk every time you leave or the key to the shoe locker with them at all times. This was a pain when they were busy. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Fine for one night, but I wouldn't stay for more.

All you need for a night stay
The stay was very good. The hotel is located 4 minutes from the Matsumoto station. The hotel provides you with all the basic stuff. It is good for both backpackers and for couples that don't need a fancy hotel and just for a good place to sleep.

Affordable hotel next to train station
Nice hotel just 3 mins walk from the train station. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast really good. I had an individual cabin and it had a good size, the bed was a bit hard but that's probably because I am not used to it. Recommended !

Location perfect from train easy walk
Easy to find hotel. Hotel is very well set up for the foreign traveler. Breakfast however, is not designed for foriegners. So plan to catch breakfast at the French bakery by the train station. Breakfast wasn’t bad with salad, pasta salad, curry dish, rice and pot stickers, just not what we are used to. The room had everything you needed.

Perfect place for solo travellers
Spotlessly clean, perfectly located (literally around the corner from the train and bus station - about 2 minutes on foot; the castle and Matsumoto City Museum of Art about 10 minutes walk), fantastic buffet breakfast with a good selection of Japanese and western dishes), fully equipped bathrooms (complimentary body lotions, face creams, tooth brushes, razors, cotton buds, hair elastics - you name it). The capsules were pristine and of generous size. Large lockers next to each pod. Upon check in you get given a cute cotton bag with bath and hand towel as well as some comfortable clothing to change into. 24 hour reception with friendly, kind, English speaking staff. Good wi-fi plus, several computers available to guests, a little library with manga. Oh, and there's a great bookshop on the same building as well as massive Daiso with great selection of ¥100 products. I would recommend this place to any solo traveller, and if you're on a budget, this place will give you a welcome break from a typical hostel level of hospitalty.

Nice hotel near station
Book a single room that is perfect for solo traveller that wants extra privacy. The amenities is more than enough, they even give a bubble bath and face cream. Near to station. Lots of food place near station

shoe dryers!
stayed in the capsule. big and comfortable enough for me. shoes were soaking wet when i arrived, but they had shoe dryers to solve the problem. coin-laundry and dryer available as well. breakfast was surprisingly good (asian). locker was too small for a big backpack. and common.hot tub was as usual too hot (as in all hotels in japan)

The hotel is about 5 minutes way from Matsumoto station so it's really convenient, there's a public bath that is available for men. The clean the place on a daily basis and the breakfast is OK.

NOT a non-smoking Hotel - Perfect Otherwise
I would love to give this place a STELLER review but there was one MAJOR problem. The hotel is so clean, so nice and has over the top amenities including a Sento. Everything about this place is PERFECT except for one MAJOR flaw. They have an actual room, in the building, NEAR the bunks for SMOKING! Every time someone used the smoking room the smell would drift straight into dorm room C and I could smell it. It was EXTREMELY disgusting and disturbing. I went to bed smelling the cigarette smoke and woke up with it still there. They need to get rid of that room as it’s unacceptable.
