"Pool area was great, staff was amazing, but the convenient location paired with the option of the free Scooby Doo bus was incredible. What a great vacation that already has us looking to come back. I almost forgot, we asked our friends (Maui Residents for over 20 years) where to stay and they said, Maui Coast Hotel is the best. The buy in from the locals is always the way to go! "This place is not for the average traveller. Plan on a large budget. The breakfast buffet for two with one mimosa each ran roughly $160 after tip. Dinner for two was a little over $400, after tip. The Luao for two was around $850. It was our 10-year anniversary, and I was well prepared and fully expected the expense. To me, it was worth it, and I would definitely come back again. Andaz has a very nice selection of swimming pools; there's even one just for grown-ups. The staff was always helpful, and a cocktail was always nearby. There's also plenty to keep you busy around the hotel. We did a snorkel tour and a dinner cruise. Both were incredible."

"My husband and I visited in September for our anniversary. This is an absolutely stunning property with everything you need and more. The pool and hot tub are glorious and the tiki bar, outdoor shower, grill, and fire pit made you not want to leave the property! Great care has been taken to make sure guests are comfortable here. Please note that Maui county requires the property manager to be onsite, so you are on the hosts' property. While you have doors leading to your property, you are asked to not lock them meaning the owner can and will walk in at any time. We were a bit taken aback by this as it's not something we've ever experienced with hosts before (usually they will call and ask if they need to access your space while you are there). So, as a result, it never felt quite private to us, but the beauty and comfort of this property made up for it. We highly recommend! "
