"Curry (now Half Dome) village is an unpretentious base for walking in Yosemite Valley. It is right on the spot for early starts, and the simple cabins (I was in a tent cabin) avoid the need for camping equipment. Facilities on site are well run and just what is needed. The communal dining hall is very good, reasonably priced, and has a nice atmosphere in the evening. "The lodge is right in the heart of Yosemite and an easy stroll to amazing waterfalls. The setting is nothing short of breathtaking The staff was lovely too. But the room itself was not clean or comfortable. It was stuffy, the mattress was old, the cleaning crew left garbage from the previous guest and the bathroom was a little icky. It’s a shame because this place could be an absolute treasure with a big of TLC. "
