"The hotel in general was good. All the staff were helpful and welcoming with one exception. A lady was incredibly rude every time we ordered a drink in the evening. Very close to the lifts and good overall ski facilities "

"Ski bus stopped just over the road which was very useful. Kids playroom was a nice touch, our three year old spent a lot of time there. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was brilliant, a great selection. My only suggestion for improvement here would be to have breakfast start half an hour earlier. Ski storage room was also very useful. Rooms were maybe slightly dated but given that nothing really came close to the price of this, can't really complain. Overall a great stay at tremendous value "

"The room felt very old and outdated. The pictures shown online during the booking process looked modern and well-maintained, but the actual room was quite different from what was advertised. This was disappointing, as the photos created a completely different impression. The breakfast was also below expectations. There were very limited options, and the overall quality was not great. For a hotel in this category, I expected a better variety and fresher choices. On the positive side, the sauna area was very good and well-maintained. It was definitely the highlight of the stay. Additionally, the staff were polite."

"The Parkhotel Matrei has some of the most attentive and friendly staff I’ve met. The hotel gave off “home” feelings and not commercial hotel. The convenience of a front parking lot, gas station & grocery nearby was great and the rooms were perfect size for me and my many bags, as well as a space for me to get my work done. I was also given a holiday gift bag because they knew I’d be alone for the holiday. Just a great place, words don’t do them justice. Definitely will be returning some day!"
