Nestled on 27 very private wooded acres with a one-acre pond and private walking trails, The Pond in the Pines Cabin is a nature lover's dream. Catch and release fish from our beautiful pond from the bank or use our small rowboat or paddle board. Guests assume all risk when exploring our property and pond. The star gazing is UNREAL with almost no artificial light! Within 15 to 20 minutes of Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Lake Hope State Park and many other attractions including the haunted Moonville tunnel. The cabin has privacy and a central location to Hocking, Vinton and Athens County. Feeling like a glass of wine and some food? We are 2 miles from the Le Petit Chevalier Vinyards! Traveling with an infant/toddler? We provide a full-size portable crib! The great room has a 60-inch smart TV with HDMI Cord and a Nintendo Switch. We are one of the few cabins in the area that has great cell service and WIFI. If you are traveling with your well-behaved canine companion we provide bowls, an indoor bed and a cot on the deck. Dogs only please with a $50 fee per stay, with a 2 dog maximum. If you have more than 2 dogs please reach out.

The location and the cabin were wonderful. Added amenities of necessary paper products, kitchen utensils, condiments, and various kitchen necessities added to making the stay the utmost relaxing trip. Would definitely recommend staying at this charming place.

Wonderful Place!

We had such a relaxing time and enjoyed this property so much. We loved going out to the pond in the evenings to sit and listen to the birds. The house was well stocked with everything you could possibly need and was super clean. Can't wait to come back!!

Hocking Hills State Park

Really enjoyed our visit to the Hocking Hills State park area. The house we stayed at was very nice and very clean. Our host Traci was great to work with ! She was friendly and helpful! I will look forward to our next trip back!!

Wonderful stay

The cabin was clean and well stocked - everything we needed for an enjoyable, relaxing stay was available. We enjoyed the trail and relaxing by the pond and it was only a 20 minute drive to Ash Cove in Hocking Hills State Park. Traci was very easy to reach when we had questions. Lovely cabin and location.

This is a wonderful home. My daughter's is attending OU in the fall and we stayed at this property during her orientation. This is an amazing home within the Hocking Hills area. Wonderful amenities and the perfect size for our family of 5. If you are traveling with dogs i highly recommend. Traci provided leashes, tie outs, and beds. The hosts were extremely accommodating and provided excellent communication both prior to and during our stay!!

Perfect get away

We spent spring break with our 4 school age children and this property was perfect! The home was so charming and CLEAN! The pond on the property was breathtaking and our favorite place to hang out. The extra accommodations like life vests, toys, tables for evenings around the fire, and so many more well thought out details were appreciated and enjoyed! Great place for families or a few adult couples to get away! Highly recommend!

A fantastic weekend trip in the woods!

We loved the property. We had great communication with the hosts and were only around a 20min drive to Hocking Hills State Park. Everything was beautiful and in a great state! We would absolutely stay here again.

Hocking Hills Hidden Gem

This place is not only gorgeous but absolute serenity. If you are looking to relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoor this is just the place for you. Our family had an amazing time and will definitely be back!! Can't wait to book our next trip to this little piece of heaven. Great place!

What a great place to stay. The owners have thought of everything. The house is clean and comfortable. The property is huge, and really provides a sense of getting away from it all. The pond is full of fish and makes for an enjoyable fishing experience. We would definitely stay there again!

Serene getaway, very relaxing!

Great property and home

We enjoyed our stay immensely! So much so that we ended up cooking at the home rather than going out to eat. Pond in the Pines Cabin sits on a beautiful property with fun trails to explore and the pond to enjoy. The home is truly beautiful with many nice touches, very clean, and very relaxing! Such a great place for everyone in our group. Traci took care to provide amenities especially for our dogs as well as our grandkids , plus everything you can think of for enjoy the property inside and out! The cabin is located on a well manicured LARGE lawn and surrounded by forest so you feel like your in your own “private Idaho” (in Ohio:-)) plenty of place for the dogs to run! The pond is down a path and has been beautifully maintained. The water was lovely to swim and boat. We wish we had had time to try out the kayak and fishing!The house has three spacious bedrooms and a great room which was really nice for us all to gather. There are several outdoor seating areas to choose to gather from the screened in front porch, to the private back porch to the fire pit surrounded by adirondack chairs. We had lots of activities planned for our stay, but we all agreed that we could have had an even better vacation if we would have spent all our time right there on the land- hiking the trails, playing in the pond and star gazing under the dark dark skies.

Sister's Birthday Get Away

We enjoyed our stay at POND IN THE PINES CABIN! The host has done a fabulous job in decor and ambiance at the cabin that made it feel like home away from home. Views are beautiful, and hiking paths to the pond were enjoyable to walk. The house is well stocked with items you may need, very clean and beds were comfortable. We felt very secure at the location. Would recommend this cabin to anyone who seeks peace and guiet and to enjoy nature. This would be a good place for families with children who would like to give them an experience with nature. Great place to unwind

I had so many things planned but this home was so comfortable that we just hung there. Anything I forgot they had it there including dog bowls. First time I’ve ever stayed somewhere where the place was as beautiful as the pictures. We all needed to relax and we did. Complete with fishing and a boat at the pond. We will be back.

Excellent stay at Pond in the Pines Cabin!

We had a wonderful stay at Pond in the Pines cabin! The cabin was very clean, beautiful, and looked even nicer than the pictures. Traci’s communication was excellent the entire time from the check in process, checking in throughout our stay, and the check out process. She even left us a bottle of wine and chocolate on check in! For anyone with dogs, we brought our fur baby with us and he probably enjoyed himself the most! The property is completely secluded and he enjoyed being able to run around and visit the pond. We had a wonderful time! Highly recommend if you are looking for a cozy retreat in Hocking Hills!

Ideal Cabin & Property

What a great property and location..... We visit the area multiple times per year and have rented many different cabins. Some good, some not so good. No need to search for anything different now. The cabin was extremely clean and exactly as promised in the listing and photos. The 27 acre property is very well maintained, with an established trail system and pond to hike and explore. Plenty of time can be spent on the property, in addition to being in close proximity (but not too close!) to the usual (popular) hiking locations. Little details matter, and we appreciated that everything was well thought of in advance. Traci was a great host, with clear instructions and communication. No complaints here! We will be back....
