"Do not spend the money for this horribly outdated hotel! You are much better off staying at an "apartment" that one of the locals can provide. I am not an overly picky hotel guest, and I come from a Croatian background, so I normally cut hotels some slack in Croatia, knowing that they are not quite what I would expect in North America, but I couldn't wait to leave this horrible relic from the old communist days of tourism. "We absolutely loved our stay at the King Kresimir Heritage Hotel. Very classy inside with lovely furnishings and details. The room was fabulous with a very comfortable bed and large bathroom which included Rituals toiletries.
It is right in the heart of the old town and on a lovely square but we did not get disturbed by any noise. Only one minute walk to the cathedral and a couple of minutes from the waterfront.
All the staff we encountered were so helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend. Price seemed really reasonable for a hotel of this standard.
There is no lift so this may not suit everyone.
