"Staff was welcoming and helpful, the pools were great. The proximity to the beach and town was definitely walkable and very picturesque. Iberostar Selection Lagos Algarve

"Overall, the Iberostar Lagos is a decent hotel in a beautiful location, but I would rate the experience closer to 4 stars than a true 5-star resort. The scenery and proximity to the beach are fantastic, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were wonderful, especially João, who provided exceptional service and deserves recognition. For the price, however, I expected better service. Pool service was very slow, and we often waited a long time before anyone approached us. Our original room faced the parking lot and construction area, and the balcony door would not close properly. We paid an additional €50 per night to upgrade to a beachfront room. Room 107 was beautiful and clean, but unfortunately had an extremely strong sewage/septic smell that lasted throughout our three-night stay. Most disappointing was that the front desk appeared to already know about the smell, yet we were still given the room and nothing meaningful was done after we raised the issue. In my opinion, Room 107 should not be occupied until the problem is fixed. Beautiful property and location with some excellent staff, but paying 5-star prices plus €50 per night for an upgrade and spending three nights smelling sewage unfortunately did not feel like a 5-star experience."

"Carla and José sent us useful information prior to our stay. José met us with the key and gave us a tour of the apartment and some useful tips for our stay in Lagos. The apartment is really well equipped, great range of cooking equipment and lots of extra things to make the holiday fun e.g. a boogie board that my children loved taking to the beach! The garden is beautiful and the pool was lovely to cool off in. We were amazed how cool the apartment stayed even when it was 35c outside. We didn't even need to use the fans. We really enjoyed trying Portuguese foods at the the Municipal Market in Lagos, leave some room in your suitcase for tasty treats. We also loved going on a dolphin watching boat trip with Sealife and kayaking around the sea caves with Kayak Explorers. The location is just a short Uber ride from some beautiful beaches and fun activities, we also walked to the marina and the local supermarket, Pingo Doce, from the apartment. There are two condominiums in Albardeira so make sure taxis know the right address. We used the nearby address Largo da República 1 which always got us to the right place without confusion. Overall a fun, relaxing holiday!"

"Excellent all around. Great location close to Lagos and so convenient to the beautiful and endless beach a quick walk across the road. The apartment was everything we could have wanted, large, clean, fully equipped. Staff were helpful and friendly. We felt very safe and comfortable throughout our trip. The pool was very nice. We would highly recommend this place and we would stay here again. Thanks for a great Algarve experience!"

"The pool was fantastic. It is very large, with several massage areas, and I have never seen such a spacious pool anywhere else.The ocean view was simply breathtaking and could be enjoyed from the entire terrace. The terrace is very large and always had a shaded, breezy spot where it never felt too hot.The house was equipped with everything we needed, from sunscreen to olive oil. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. There was a selection of alcoholic drinks in the bar cabinet, plenty of books in English and German to read, and a wide variety of games to enjoy with family and friends.It was about a 10-minute walk to the beach and around 40 minutes to the old town. The walks along the coastal paths were absolutely beautiful.Communication with the host was excellent throughout our stay. Responses were always very quick, and the host was friendly and helpful whenever we had a question.We had a wonderful holiday. We spent most of our time exploring the surrounding area, so we were rarely inside the house. Instead, we enjoyed grilling on the terrace in the evenings and relaxing by the pool whenever we were back. We would happily stay here again."
