"The hotel appeared to be rather out of the way on a back road. At first this was a little disconcerting but it really was not a problem! Rooms were clean and comfortable. There was no air conditioning. This appears to be common in Germany - that hotels do not have air conditioning. As an American, I am used to being able to turn on air conditioning when a hotel room becomes uncomfortably warm. I suspect that as an American, I will just have to adapt to the way things are done in Germany."
