First time in Melbourne, convenient, quiet location close to transportation and walking to many sites. Clean, friendly staff, room and bathroom were small for three adults but worked OK for short 2 night stay at a reasonable cost.

The room was clean and comfortable. Good, heavy curtains kept it dark in the room for a good sleep. Decent sized TV was a nice change. One thing I would’ve liked; a spare, thin pillow. But I will be staying there again.

The hotel is relatively new, and run my a Cantonese family. The rooms are a little on the small side, having said that, the rooms are very functional and clean. Water pressure : great Cleanliness : good Room : very bright, able to open windows for fresh air Location : walking distance to CBD, Victoria market next door The hotel is in a lowrise neighbourhood, the hotel only has levels from G to 3, so there is some street noise, but not a lot. The staff are very friendly and helpful - real characters, Would I stay here again? Absolutely.

Disappointing Experience at Best Western Queen Vic

I recently stayed at the Best Western Queen Victoria Market Hotel following a long flight and was disheartened by the lack of basic amenities like complimentary water in my room—a small but crucial comfort for any traveler. Efforts to arrange an early check-in were also met with poor communication and no cooperation from the hotel staff. These oversights marred my experience, and regrettably, I will not be choosing this hotel for my future visits to Melbourne.
