The rooms are in need of a make over. The area is very handy to freeway, the shopping area is so handy plenty of places to eat. We did like staying there very close to all our family. And l would stay there again.

It was sad that there was no dining and that the pool was closed. However it is what we paid for; a budget hotel. The young guy at reception was excellent. He was friendly, helpful and had a lot of local knowledge. The shower in our room was also excellent, bed comfortable.

Hotel Bruce does not purport to be a five-star luxury hotel and it isn't. It is a tired old hotel that is functional and comfortable. Located just off the highway it is very quiet. The rooms are tidy and some what clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets seemed clean. Check-in was very easy. If you need a cheap place to stay in the south east of Melbourne then this hotel is very suitable.

This hotel was well priced and very conveniently located. The staff were friendly and the room although basic was clean and tidy with all the basics you need. There are a variety of fast food places and god restaurants all only a hundred meters away. Can definately recommend this hotel. It is also conveniently located to the Waverley Private Hospital being only 1km away so could be accessed on foot.

With low ocupancy, dont use adjacent rooms due to through wall noise. Close parking was great. Very low ambient noise.

Bathrooms in multiple rooms have plumbing issues in showers, property is unsafe with people able to access the hotel room doors and bang on them screaming during the night. Hotel is very outdated and in need of a major upgrade.

It was as expected for what you pay, it is just dated and needs some maintenance, everything worked though. Check in was via a key lock box so can't comment on the in person service. Would stay there again if that was the budget I had.
