Quiet apartment in the geographical center of the Basque Country

  • Ideally located in the heart of the Basque Country in a small town surrounded by mountains. Built in 2008. Modern decor. Apartment very nice and functional. No parking problems in the area. Excellent communications: access to the motorway in 3 km. You can be reached in 30-40 minutes at 3 Basque capitals: Donostia-San Sebastian, Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz. 10 minutes from the beach of Deba. Bus stop and train station to 350 meters. Train to Bilbao and Donostia-San Sebastian every hour with stops at villages along the coast.

Spacious but lacking in lighting and privacy

We chose this as a mid spot to access San Sebatian and Bilbao which it was good for. Lots of space but there was no wifi which came as quite a surprise. You really need a car to get anything or go anywhere. The train is right there but very long rides. Lots of windows but had to have all the blinds shut for privacy. Kitchen was missing a few important things but host was quick to help.

Location, Location, Location

Renting this property was an easy process, Maria Jose, the owner, was very helpful giving us a lot of information and tips on what to do to solve some doubts we had. The apartment ‘s location is superb if your purpose is to visit the three capitals in the Spanish basque side and also the beautiful French cities. That made our trip a real success during our two weeks in June 2019 in Mendaro.

Die Wohnung war gut eingerichtet aber insgesamt etwas dunkel, kalt und leicht klamm. Wir mussten tagsüber das Licht und (bei 19-23 Grad Außentemperaturen) die Heizung anmachen. Nicht gut.

Apartamento estupendo en prácticamente el centro del Pais Vasco. Ideal para poder moverse entre los diferentes puntos de interés en poco tiempo, no más de una hora. Todo bastante limpio y con todo lo necesario. Muy satisfechos con nuestra estancia.

Fijn appartement

Prima verblijf in een rustige omgeving. Centraal gelegen voor bezoek aan meerdere plekken in Baskenland. Wel een hard bed en er is geen waterkoker, maar een pannetje water opzetten kan ook. Geen ventilatie, kleding voelde klam en de handdoeken bleven vochtig.

María José encantadora, nos ha ayudado siempre que le hemos solicitado cualquier cosa. Apartamento correcto y en un sitio centrico para realizar salidas al Mar y al interior. Bien comunicado por carretera principal y Autopista. En el pueblo de al lado *ELGOIBAR* Supermecados, Gasolinera y Servicios. Dispone de estación de tren para poder dejar vehiculo. Lo tendremos en cuenta para posible repeticiones en la zona. Un 9,5 de 10

Reposant et agréable

A recommander car cochait toutes les cases pour nous qui cherchions à nous reposer après des journées bien remplies : quartier silencieux, possible de se garer à proximité (si les places devant sont prises, il y a un vaste terrain pour stationner au bout de la rue à 80m), volets roulants assurant bien l'obscurité, pièces pas trop petites (pas le sentiment d'être dans un cagibi), possibilité de regarder la TV espagnole en prenant le petit-dej, facile de naviguer en voiture de Bilbao à San Sebastian (entrée de l'autoroute à 5 min), possibilité de trouver plusieurs restaurants à 4km, à Elgoibar ou à Deba (sur place il n'y a pas grand-chose). Séjour parfait, merci !

Logement parfait très propre. Un calme un silence. C'est parfait. Maria extrêmement gentille pense à laisser des bonbons gâteaux fruits vin pommes de terre pour les arrivants. Il ne manque rien dans le logement jusqu'à la trousse à pharmacie et celle de couture. Tres bien située une vue magnifique proche des sentiers de randonnee et de potes incontournable. Lugar idilico

La casa es perfecta para ver el País Vasco. Muy cómoda en un pueblo muy tranquilo con posibilidad de coger tren para visitar la costa o el interior. La acogida fue perfecta y tiene todas las comodidades necesarias para unas vacaciones perfectas. Sin duda para repetir. Gracias a María José por su amabilidad.

Decepcionante

El anuncio decía que había wifi y al preguntar a la propietaria nos dice que lo siente pero no hay. La nevera, 1 día desde que llegamos para que enfriase algo, por lo que tuvimos que tirar mucha comida comparada. El anuncio decía calefacción por caldera pero no había calefacción. Sabanas manchadas, los utensilios de cocina sucios y los platos con grasa. El horno ni se nos ocurrió ponerlo porque estaba de grasa hasta arriba y las bandejas con grasa de no haberlos limpiado. Humedad en todo el apartamento. De tranquilidad ni por asombro. Hay una taberna a pocos metros y hacen mucho ruido por la noche. Se hubiera agradecido más limpieza y exactitud en el anuncio.
