Absolutely beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. Cristoph was extremely kind and helpful and gave us excellent recommendations for food and things to do in the area. My room has a balcony with breathtaking views of the snowcapped mountains. Breakfast and coffee were excellent. Absolutely no complaints. A wonderful stay all round.

Brilliant hotel, location excellent should give more information on arrival about the spa etc, parking is not free, and not told, but overall really good stay and very central

Great hotel to spend a few days in Merano
We had a very good stay at Hotel Europa Splendid. Very nice and friendly staff. Hotel is very clean and in a great location. Comfortable beds and a very clean room in general.

Good base for Merano and Tyrol
stayed 2 nights, single room. Comfortable but small. Curtains not very light-tight. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Reasonably priced.

Nice hotel in center of old town
The best thing about this hotel is the staff -- they could not have been more helpful and accomodating. When it started to rain, as we were leaving, several staff members held umbrellas over us so we wouldn't get soaked. Most places seem indifferent once you've paid the bill. The other great point about this hotel is its location -- in the old city and within walking distance of the thermal pool and top notch restaurants. We had three rooms, all of them different, and cute and clean.

Good location
Good location and friendly staff. But our room was very small, rather hot and very noisey. Didn't get much sleep. Booked a double and got two twin beds pushed apart to either side of the room. Bathroom lacked an extractor and was like a sauna after a shower and bathroom door didn't shut properly. Good range of breakfast but overall very dated decor and a bit like being trapped in the Grand Budapest Hotel.

I selected this hotel from a short list of a good dozen alternatives offered by Expedia. It was actually my second choice, as no rooms were available in my first choice. The hotel is perfectly located right in the centre of the old town. It has parking available in an underground garage a few blocks away, which was not really too inconvenient. Inside, the building is a typically old world Euriopean hotel, with a wide staircase and a comfotable lived-in feel. My high feelings of anticipation were somewhat deflated when I got into my room. Entering through a very narrow door, the room was short and very narrow. So was the single bed. I have stayed in more accomodating youth hostels! The bathroom has an incredibly tiny shower - you will bang both elbows on the walls several times every morning, and it leaked prodigious amounts of water onto the bathroom floor. The service was helpful and polite, but you usually had to call for someone's attention to get it. Overall, lots of nice things, but the room itself was just not good enough.

Termini per la cancellazione gratuita scaduti da un giorno e muro assoluto da parte dell'hotel per poterci venire incontro in qualche modo, con telefonata esplorativa il pomeriggio del check in per sapere se saremmo arrivati (camera da prenotare nuovamente nonostante fosse già pagata e teoricamente occupata?).

Sehr gute Lage im Zentrum, aber viel Verkehrslärm
Das Hotel verfügt über moderne und alte Zimmer. Das ist auch aus den Bildern ersichtlich. Wir hätten das Pech, ein Zimmer mit uralter Einrichtung erhalten zu haben. Immerhin war das Bad neu, wenn auch nicht sehr praktisch. Dusche in der Badewanne mit zu kleiner Glaswand! Ich habe mich bei der Rezeption über die Zimmerausstattung erkundigt. Die Antwort war freundlich und es wurde ausgeführt, dass jedes Zimmer anders eingerichtet sei. Wenn wir uns sofort gemeldet hätten, wäre eine Umbuchung kein Problem gewesen. Also unbedingt auf ein modernes Zimmer pochen, wenn Sie keine Nostalgiker sind. Die Empfehlungen für die Esslokale waren ausgezeichnet. Die Fenster sind schalldicht, wenn man aber Luft braucht, ist es mit Schlafen ein Problem, da die Gegend sehr belebt ist. Bis weit in die Nacht gibts Gegröle der Nachtschwärmer und frühmorgens ist der Lärm der Abfallentsorgung heftig.

Sehr guter und freundlicher Service , waren in der Nacht angekommen und es war alles vorbereitet mit Parkplatz und den Zimmern... Danke... Frühstück war auch sehr gut, viel Auswahl und frisch zubereitete Eier... mit speck... Personal sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit... Zimmer und Lage waren sehr gut...

Sehr schönes, zentral gelegenes Hotel
Ein altes Hotel im Jugendstil, viele Details noch erhalten. HP zu empfehlen, durchweg 5 Gänge incl. Salatbuffet. Sehr lecker. Verkehr zwar laut bei geöffnetem Fenster, aber gute Schallisolierung.

Hotel ist sehr zentral, leider morgens sehr laut ... Zimmer war neben dem Aufzug nicht so praktisch da auch zu laut. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.. Frühstück war gut. Trotzdem über 200 Euro für das Zimmer etwas zu viel.
