"Our room had pet accommodations so that was a huge plus, the room was pretty small and a little outdated but it was very clean and the beds were very comfortable including the pillows. The linens smelled cleaned (huge brownie points). We’ve stayed here before and we will definitely stay here again in the future. 😊"

"My husband and I checked in fairly late in the day and checked out right after breakfast so we didn't use the pool or fitness room but they were there if we had wanted to Let me start by saying that my first impression when I walked into the lobby was WOW. The room was huge. There was a game of billiards going on when I walked in. I don't think I have ever seen that in a hotel before. The room was clean. The mirror in the bathroom made me feel like a movie star. We went out to eat for dinner so we didn't use the fridge or microwave but it was nice that the option was there. The bed was comfortable. I woke up a lot but I don't think it was the bed. There was a lot of door slamming in the hallway until around 10 but then I don't recall anything but silence. Breakfast was good. There were 3 choices if eggs, sausage pizza, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, biscuits and gravy. I left breakfast stuffed. My only complaint is a lack of charging ports. We were on vacation so I had camera batteries to charge, phones to charge and photos to transfer onto my laptop. I had to use the ports in my laptop to charge my batteries. I made it work but more USB ports would be nice."

"We had an amazing stay at the Strater Hotel! The hotel is very historic and is so nice.The staff was incredibly helpful. We scheduled some time in the hot tub which was lovely! It is right in downtown Durango, so walking to restaurants, bars and shopping is easy from the hotel. Highly recommend a stay at the Strater!"
