Helpful Staff & Clean

The staff were very helpful, friendly and quick to resolve any issues. The plumbing was a problem but again it was taken care of each time. We did eventually learn that Merida in general has issues. This is a basic accomodation but clean and in a good location ... easy to reach Paseo de Montejo and walking score overall would be a 9 out of 10.

Great place!

Excellent time at this hotel.. a great location next to the sites in historic Merida. Service good, cleaning staff excellent and continental breakfast adequate, not too filling. We ended up renting a car as their tour options were pricey for us.. the free Merida walking tour down the road, Progreso Beach and Chichen- Itza were 'must-see' !

Bathroom- towel rack in bathroom, soap holder in shower, and window by shower was rusted and dirty. Dirty socks were found under the bed (that were not ours), towels that were supposed to be "clean" smelled bad at times. Staff was helpful and friendly. The location was safe.

This was one of the most horrible experience in any hotel I ever stayed all over the World ! 1) Expedia Price is almost close to good hotels in the locality like Marriott or Holiday Inn or Fiesta Americana, but one will get very disappointed as it appears to be a budget hotel. 2) Money was non-refundable and so you cannot cancel booking and change to another. 3) Except one or two, no other staff speaks English. 4) There are no refrigerators in the room. 5) Constant disturbance of compressor or pump cutting in and cutting off. 6) No lift/elevator, you need to take the stairs, even with your luggage 7) The breakfast included is a hoax because they will wait till you start taking food from the buffet, and once you take a few items on your plate, they will come and tell you that you need to pay extra because the “breakfast included” in your Expedia booking only qualifies for a continental breakfast (2 slices of bread, some Co flex with Yogurt, fruits and coffee), not for the buffet. Now that you have taken some food from the buffet, there is no other way but to pay for it. And they don’t tell you this politely! 8) Staff behaviour (especially the girl in the front desk, only of the only couple of people speaking English here). 9) It’s a primitive budget hotel and overpriced for it’s standards! Never ever I can imagine staying here nor I would suggest to anyone. Horrible experience !

Estancia agradable

El hotel está a escasas dos cuadras del paseo Montejo, ideal para salir a pasear. La habitación es grande y cómoda. Siempre estuvo limpia. En la regadera después de unos minutos la presión bajaba considerablemente. No reportamos porque nos fue suficiente, sin embargo si van más de dos personas sería un problema. El personal muy amable siempre. Los meseros del restaurante siempre estaban al pendiente.
