If it's your first time travelling during the COVID-19 pandemic, you'll notice a range of new rules and restrictions in place. Take note of these tips and make your escape to Mesopotamia a smooth one:

• Research if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking. Also check if there are any requirements you'll have to follow on arrival, such as health testing.

• Place any personal items (phone, wallet and keys for example) in your carry-on rather than a bin to minimize handling during screening.
• Separate any food you have for screening. Food items often set off the alarm. Placing them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to handle and inspect your belongings.
