The Hacienda Pena Pobre is a beautiful and relaxing please to stay in Mexico City. The rooms are spacious and extremely clean. The staff extremely professional and friendly. I will stay there again soon.

The staff the staff the staff! Everyone here was so kind and generous and catered to your every need—I felt like royalty during my two night stay! I stayed here the night before and the night of my wedding and they couldn’t have been kinder and more attentive to us. Additionally, the hotel is so beautiful for photos! Although there is an extra cost for wedding pictures to be taken here, FYI. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. What a beautiful little hidden gem!

Very clean, beautiful and comfortable, probably the most quiet and peaceful hotel we’ve stayed in. Walkable distance to Perisur Shopping mall. For everything else you’ll need a cab.

The hacienda and staff were exceptional and made my stay in Mexico City extra special. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming (thank you!). The property was charming with a lovely, comfortable and clean room. The garden/sitting area outside was a calm place to relax, read and do a little work. There was a shopping area nearby, but for me the park/natural area near the hacienda was a relaxing place to walk during my stay. This is a particularly nice place to stay for anyone visiting UNAM main campus.

Excellent hotel, the property is beautiful, with gardens and hacienda- type construction. The room is very ample and comfortable, the bed is great as are the pillows, the hot water comes on immediately, the staff is very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Great staff and service. Breakfast was delicious. The only inconvenience on the first night was the lack of hot water and no water pressure in the shower but they will be able to switch the room because of this issue.

The staff was lovely--super helpful and kind. The breakfast was good with a modest buffet of fruit, pastries and toast, and good coffee. There was a charming atrium for eating in. Our room was very nice. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were great, with large showers and nice linens. The only problem for me was that the hotel was not well located. I knew it was on the far south side of the city, but I thought it was near a beautiful park and that I would be able to walk to the University and lots of other things I wanted to see. Nothing was available by foot, including places to eat. I would not recommend this hotel to tourists wanting easy access to sights in the city.
