Such a walkable area, this hotel is beautiful, located on a quiet street nearby to everything. Friendly service, comfortable room, what a treat! Would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.
Wonderful location close to the spectacular Plaza Hidalgo and the famous streets of Coyocan. Very secure, clean, friendly, and comfortable. The alebrijes and their stories add charm to every space in the hotel.
What a find! This place is a treasure in Coyoacán . It’s clean, it’s spacious, it’s easy to walk everywhere, staff were great . It was a short stay but I would definitely return.
I loved the neighborhood, close to the restaurants, parks, liveliness, but also quiet. Very nice and accommodating staff who will help with any excursions or taxi. It's a beautiful hotel and courtyard, modern touches and not too large.
Really friendly helpful staff, spacious comfortable room with a very private shded outdoor space, perfect for morning coffee. Ideal location for exploring this beautiful neighbourhood on foot, lots of great cafes, bakeries, parks, markets nearby. Love everything!
Comfortable and spacious room, the grounds were peaceful and offered a respite from busy Mexico City. Close to some great restaurants, neighborhood felt safe and walkable. Gustavo the owner was attentive to needs. Great bang for the buck!
Property was amazing! Clean with a beautiful garden perfect for drinking coffee on in the morning. In walking distance to multiple great spots for food and markets. I also took pictures of the room and restroom for inspiration in my own home. Ill be back by end of year!
Staying at Hotel Butique Alebrije was an absolute delight! From the beautifully designed rooms to the warm, attentive staff, every detail was perfect. The terrace offered a stunning relax view of the gardens, the on-site restaurant served delicious local cuisine (breakfast only) and the serene atmosphere made for a truly relaxing stay. It was the ideal mix of convenience and tranquility. If you’re looking for a charming, luxurious escape in Mexico, this is the place to be!
It's a small hotel, so you quickly get to know the front desk people. Everyone is nice and ready to answer questions and help. The work area is a nice addition to us fools that can't leave work at home. Having coffee and tea always available is nice, plus a great outdoor area to enjoy.
Stayed with my teen daughter. Was in a great location - very close to walk to places while also being on a quiet street. The staff was AMAZING. So attentive and helpful. Prior to this we had been staying in the more chaotic central historical district so the peacefulness of this hotel was appreciated.
I can't wait to stay here again. The manager was so helpful and warm, and the hotel itself was wonderful, with free coffee and work stations. The room was huge and the smart tv was great. The only challenge was the toilet wasn't functioning properly, but that's minor compared to all the great things and touches in this hotel! Highly recommend.
I had a truly lovely stay at Hotel Alebrijes in Coyoacán. The location is perfect—nestled in the heart of this charming neighborhood, it offers easy access to the vibrant markets, parks, and cultural landmarks. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect throughout my stay.
The rooms are cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with beautiful touches that reflect the local art and culture. I particularly appreciated the peaceful courtyard, a serene space to relax after a day of exploring.
Overall, Hotel Alebrijes exceeded my expectations. It’s a wonderful blend of charm, comfort, and hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to Coyoacán!
This little hotel is a gem. It’s within walking distance to anything you could want in Coyoacán, whether it be coffee, restaurants, museums, churches or shopping at the main plaza. The hotel is locked and secure, and the neighborhood is calm and residential. The woman at the front desk and the manager were very kind and accommodating. The windows soundproof very nicely. There was a loud party across the street and we couldn’t hear it in the bedroom. It was so nice to have AC. We liked it so much we came back.
I could probably write a book about how much I loved Casa Alebrije. It's situated in the gorgeous neighborhood of Coyoacán, which is safe and easy to walk around. There are an endless number of restaurants, shops, parks, and locales to explore just within the neighborhood. It's also very easy to catch a ride into La Roma or the deeper areas of CDMX. Gustavo, the manager, is absolutely wonderful. He is there the moment you check in and was always available for any questions (night or day) or to help us in any way. His work at Casa Alebrije is obvious at every turn. The hotel is beautifully decorated with traditional cultural works but still feels minimalist, calm, and tranquil. The bedroom was very comfortable, with all the amenities we needed, plus a stunning view of the hotel's courtyard garden. And despite being in the largest city in North America, it is very quiet and restful. We absolutely loved our stay and it's hard to imagine going back to CDMX and staying anywhere else. Thank you to the entire team at Casa Alebrije! It is definitely a home away from home.
This hotel was formerly a private residence. It is elegant and has a beautiful garden. Each room has a different theme based on an Alebrije. The hotel is well appointed. It’s very quiet at night with an occasional siren or barking dog. There are double paned windows so you can barely hear the sound. The neighborhood is very charming and walkable with many places to eat nearby. This is considered to be the oldest neighborhood of Mexico City. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There is complimentary coffee and tea all day. There is also a breakfast service but we chose not to eat at the hotel. There were individually boxed cereals (very high in sugar), some fruit, coffee, tea and I believe bread. For an additional charge, there are some hot dishes that can be ordered from the kitchen. My recommendation would be to add plain yogurt, granola and nuts and a selection of cheese.
