Leicht erreichbar, zentral gelegen.

Good hotel for all
Great location, and although the hotel is a little on the older side, they seemed to have been proactively fixing things (like painting) while I was there. It was clean, but basic. This is not a 5 star hotel, but it's definitely great great value. The staff were fantastic, and it was the perfect place to stay while in Mexico City if you want to be near the Centro Historico. It is also fairly close to La Reforma where all the fancy shops and Zona Rosa are.....about a 20 minute walk. Would stay there again - but next time would probably ask for a room with windows, although it may be a little louder than the room I was in which was nice and quiet.

Nice Discount Hotel but We Faced Challenges
La Casa de La Luna is located in a great place, walking distance from the historic downtown. It is across the street from a tasty taco stand, features its own restaurant (our breakfast was excellent), and it is easy to get a taxi. However, when we arrived the front desk informed us that due to electrical repairs being made to the area, we might face periods without power. All went well our first night but we woke to find that there was no warm water since the waterheater is electric. We asked to cancel the rest of our reservation and the staff was very friendly. They honored our request, held our luggage for FREE all of that day, and secured a cab for us to go to another hotel that night. We will reconsider this hotel and thank the staff. Hopefully, next time the power issue will be fixed. If you want clean, affordable but modest accommodations in the heart of Mexico City, this is a solid option, if again, they have electricity.

Clean hotel and good location but very noisy and the door to the hallway was glass so the hall light shined into my room all night making it hard to sleep.
the hotel has a good service everything is good esential the person in charge of the front desk called GRACIELA she is a nice person very respectful, nice person and help the clients when the clients need it.

A Real Mexican Experience
We recently spent 4 nights at the Casa de la Luna hotel, Mexico City and had a very pleasant stay. This is a small, simple hotel that gives the traveller a good insight into Mexican culture. It is clean and the rooms were quite spacious. We had two rooms for our family of 6 and were very comfortable. The staff had little english but made every effort to help and were particularly pleasant, in fact the spanish speaking only enhanced our Mexican experience. Although the hotel is quite basic, it is clean and its central location in the historical district makes it a good, safe choice for families on a budget.

OK
Room key did not work. Bathroom very small & not well equiped. No drapes in room too much light from corridors. Associates clening at 2:00 am.
everything in the bathroom is electric/automatic so it is noisy when you go into it at night. outside the rooms was quiet. good breakfast. 3 blocks from Letran subway stop. can walk to Ciudadela craft market and Bellas Artes, and Zocalo easily.

An excellent value in a great location.
La Casa De La Luna is a very good value in the heart of the Centro Historico, walking distance from lively pedstrian only streets, the Zocolo, Palacio Bellas Artes, and numerous museums. A great location to walk to several of Diego Rivera's most important and impressive murals as well as Metro stops to travel to other parts of the city. The desk staff were very helpful in offering directions and calling taxis, as well as very pleasant.
