Great Property with an Amazing Host

The location and property are fantastic. This is a very comfortable, quiet and secluded place to stay. the neighbourhood is walkable and with many other activities short drive away. Catarina is the best host we have ever experienced. A super Miami experience!!

Relaxing NYE Retreat in the Grove!

Cat's studio in Coconut Grove is the ideal location for a relaxing trip. Beautiful outdoor space, highly walkable location, and indoor space with everything you could need for your stay! We hope to return soon!

.A Great Retreat

Our accommodation was quite unique. Even though it was a studio there was ample space for storage. Through the sliding doors was a luscious garden, hammocks and chairs for a delightful day outdoors. Of course there was a barbecue and a large table to eat outdoors. I am looking forward to visiting our friends and family and stayiing there again.

Weekend gettaway

This place is a treasure. Better in person than even photos indicate. Tastefully and beautifully appointed inside. Gorgeous patio w palms orchids are all meals outside in backyard. Peaceful beautiful place in the heart of the Grove.

My stay at Loquat exceeded expectations. The outdoor shower at night and meeting Majic, the peacock, were my high points. Caterena is a jewell of a hostess. Hope to return soon.

Tranquility in the heart of Coconut Grove

My wife and I booked this with the hope we could find a relaxing destination that wasn't too far from things. The property is absolutely lovely and quiet, we enjoyed relaxing to a morning cup of coffee in the back garden. It's also only a ten minute stroll to downtown Coconut Grove and a short drive to Coral Gables, South Miami, and Key Biscayne. Catarina was wonderful, the checking in process was simple and clearly explained. We loved this place so much that we hope to stay here the next time we're in Miami.

Charming atmosphere and a good night's sleep

Catarina has a lovely property. The wood is exceptional. We slept well as it was quiet with a very comfortable bed and good shades to make the place dark. Her decor is zen-like and charming. The kitchen is well- equipped and the place was very clean. There was a great, large screen TV on the wall and Catarina's friend was very nice and helpful to take time to show us how to use the DVD. We stayed in Catarina's home (not the studio) so I am not sure if this review is in the right spot. However, I would assume the studio is lovely as well. Our only disappointment was that we did not find this spot easy walking distance to restaurants. Of course, that is a function of your age and fitness level and others may well find it doable. Thanks so much, Catarina!

Beautiful place in gorgeous location

I stayed at this property for several days wow I was in town helping my daughter move out of her student housing for the summer. It only took me seven minutes to get back-and-forth to the University of Miami- ideal! The place is just perfect for one or two people. My daughter ended up staying with me at the second half of the week. It’s so close to restaurants and shops and we took advantage of walking around too many places. The yard is like a mini oasis with places to sit and drink your coffee or eat a meal or just lounge around. It’s just so unique and simply amazing! The owner is so sweet and so helpful and always answer. Any questions about the property or the area that I had. Definitely will be going back again.

Well furnished

We like to stay in places that feel cozy, like a home. The full kitchen has plenty of pots, pans and dishes. There were even frequent go to spices and cooking oils. The location is great for morning and afternoon walks. The parking is secure and backyard is private. Cat, the owner, is warm and responsive.

Therapeutic getaway

Everything was as advertised: the well-appointed unit, the peaceful deck in the back with tons of flora, the green and leafy neighborhood, its proximity to activities -- and the resident peacock. Caterina is the ultimate host -- warm, welcoming and accomodating. I highly recommend.

Hip pad in The Grove!

The property is absolutely beautiful. We felt like we were in Costa Rica! The backyard space is lush and extremely spacious. The peacocks are a bonus! It’s a quick walk to the local restaurants! I would highly recommend this space.

Beautiful place with a great host.

This place was perfect for our stay while dropping our son off at the University of Miami. It was comfortable and Catarina was a wonderful host. We did not get a chance to utilize the courtyard as much as I would have liked due to our schedule but it was a nice place to sit in the mornings and evenings. We plan to stay here again and will be recommending it to our friends and family.

It was a perfect fit for our needs. Catarina was such a wonderful and pleasant host.

My husband and I came to get away for a days and it felt like home as soon as we arrived. It was peaceful and away from the noise of the city but still close enough to anything we may have wanted to do. The pictures were exactly what we got and she was available to answer any questions we may have had very quickly. We would definitely come here again!

This place is amazing

This place is magical. Katarina was super friendly and the studio is big, clean and well-kept. It has a beautiful patio with a big garden, that feels like you are in Costa Rica :) I higly recommend this place to anyone :)

Tropical Paradise

What a wonderful place to stop and relax! The studio was so well decorated, fully stocked for anything needed to enjoy the weather. Catarina was excellent, informative and willing to provide any help we needed. The woodwork both in the studio and the backyard are stunning! The decks, flowers and layout in the backyard are so Feng shui. We walked into Coconut Grove several times and really enjoyed the area. Catarina - thanks again for a wonderful vacation.

gracious retreat

Closer to the airport than I would have guessed. Mature tropical forest surrounds the neighborhood. Short and pleasant walk to downtown. The room is very beautiful and comfortable - peaceful uncluttered space which looks out on the beautiful garden. Quiet neighborhood as well. My favorite part of the trip was napping in the hammock and listening to the birds and the wind. Our hostess was extremely gracious and helpful with orienting us and making sure we were comfortable. She had great recommendations for where to go and what to do and provided us with good resource material as well. We highly recommend this listing and will visit here again the next time we are in Miami.
