The property was old and had a nasty detergent smell throughout. Staffs response to all questions was a resounding "no".
We booked through expedia and as such were not regarded well by staff.
We arrived almost 2 days late caused by American Airlines staffing issues. Our early morning direct flight on a Thursday AM arrived non-direct late on Friday evening.
We had first class tickets, but there was nothing about this flight experience that was good.
We also arrived home a day late after AA staffing issues and slept on the floor at the airport. (our choice, but it turns after discussions with fellow travelers that, given debacles with available hotels and reentry via security at Miami airport, that this was a better choice).
SO we lost almost 2 days of spring break and gained a nights stay at an airport. Horrible.
We made the best of they hotel stay but the hotel staff and facilities were not very nice or helpful. It was as if hotel staff had been instructed to say not to every request, no matter how minor. We had our daughter with us who was sleeping on a pullout couch. It was like pulling teeth to get a comforter instead of a scratchy blanket. Insanely low levels of customer service. It was if there was a competition between staff to be the most obstructive.
To cap it all off there was a construction zone outside our window. Our view of the sunset was clouded by portable toilets and rooftop cranes. very noisy each morning from 7:15 onwards. Horrible.
