"Clean rooms, nicely furnished, good location relative to downtown. I had to call to get the access codes and had some trouble deciphering them after a long trip. (The code for the inside door was presented before the outside door.) Residual odor from smoking in the unit (likely prior to renovation) was apparent for 1 of the 3 guests with a keen sense of smell. Wished there had been a Keurig for morning coffee. "

"Booked a week in advance. When we arrived the key wasn’t in the lock box. Security guards had no number to call. Found a number in my email. Called and went through the prompts just for them to hang up on me. Called back and then the manager pulled in. She searched around trying to find the key then offered me a different place. We chose that place because it was on the water. So didn’t want a different place. She magically found the key about 30 minutes later."

We did not receive check in instructions by noon on day of check in. Message sent on VRBO went unanswered. After a few attempts of calling the number listed we were able to talk with someone who did send check in instructions to my email. Shower did not drain. "I didn't realize how much I needed a boutique resort getaway until I stayed here. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt personal. You can check in seamlessly without waiting in line or stopping at the front desk, or you can choose to chat with the friendly staff and socialize with other guests. The service was warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive throughout our stay. The property itself is thoughtfully designed, making excellent use of every inch of its waterfront location. Despite its intimate size, it offers everything you need: a pool, fitness center, restaurant, fire pits, pickleball court, lake-view observation deck, and rental bicycles with 24-hour access to everything except the bicycles. The location is another huge advantage. It's just minutes from an island with hiking and kayaking, a local winery, charming restaurants and bars, and a picturesque lighthouse. Best of all, it's only about 30 minutes from Cedar Point and everything Sandusky has to offer, while being far enough away to escape the crowds and enjoy a peaceful retreat. If you're looking for a relaxing, well-designed property with exceptional service and a true boutique resort atmosphere, this place is absolutely worth the visit."

"Hotel was good, staff when asked about good restaurants to go to had no ideas where to send us. Hallway first floor smells moldy or like something stayed wet in the carpets when you walk by. Pool is great! Nice outdoor seating and pool is open until 11 which is nice for people coming back from parks or sports. Overall not bad; would be nice to have hotel store opener earlier for those who want coffee and not from the hotel mini coffee machine."

"The parking for the deluxe cabins at Lighthouse Point should have a sign stating it’s for “resort parking only”. People coming to the water park were using those spaces to park for the day. We had to circle several times to find a parking spot which wasn’t close to our cabin to unload our car! Cabin could have been better cleaned. There was cereal, Fruity Pebbles, found on a futon, long hairs in a bathtub, and a loud rattling portable air conditioner unit in the loft. This was our first time renting a cabin as we owned a travel trailer for many years and stayed in the camping area."

"Overall it was a basic roadside motel. Property was under construction by the roadside so appearances at first were a little off putting but lobby and room were basic and functional with all amenities as advertised. We stayed one night after a day at cedar point, place was decently quiet and bed was comfortable, departing first thing. Would stay here again."
