Modern Home in downtown Middletown! Walk to shops & restaurants!

Perfectly situated in downtown Middletown, this modern 2-story home sits in a quiet location but yet is just a 2 minute walk to the local cafes, coffee shops, grocery stores, community pool & more. It's an ideal spot if you are heading up Hwy. 175 toward Cobb Mountain & Boggs forest, out to Harbin Hot Springs, or further north to Hidden Valley Lake, Lower Lake & Clear Lake.

This property is located about 20-30 minutes north of Calistoga. For those wanting to visit Napa Valley, please note, you do have to drive over a windy, mountain road to get to Calistoga and the Napa Valley. We have many wonderful wineries here in Lake County and are happy to provide recommendations, if desired!

The huge entry hallway offers plenty of space for storing mountain or road bikes or other outdoor equipment that you want to bring inside for the night.

Downstairs is a bedroom with a queen bed, full bathroom with stall shower, walk in closet & utility room with washer/dryer & utility sink.

Upstairs is all the main living areas including the full kitchen, complete with dishwasher, pantry, microwave, electric range, refrigerator, and both a standard coffee maker or a single serve. It is fully stocked with dishes & all of the cooking essentials.

The living room & dining room enjoy vaulted ceilings & a cute deck with patio table, chairs & bbq looking out to the street ~ a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee.

The living room has two convertible couches, that can be laid flat to provide two twin-size bed options (most suited for children). There is a TV with Roku firestick and WiFi is provided.

The large upstairs bedroom features a king bed, desk area, walk in closet & black out curtains. The full bathroom offers a tub/shower combo with a jetted tub, pedestal sink & skylight.

A twin size blow up air mattress is also available for use. Please note the main living is upstairs and the stairway is a bit steep for some.

This is the main house and comes with the designated paved parking spot for one car in the driveway. There is a detached studio cottage behind this home, which does use the side yard for access and the gravel parking space is reserved for the cottage.

Need more space? The cottage can be rented separately and can sleep another 3 adults, or 2 adults + 2 small children (VRBO# 3067759). However the entire MAIN house is exclusively included in this rental.

Perfect Place for visiting Harbin Hot Springs

The house was very clean and convenient for visiting Harbin Hot Springs - only a 7 minute drive away. There are several local restaurants close by (the Panang Curry at Buddha Thai was some of the best I have ever tasted). We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

Great little place

The property was exactly as advertised and a cute little place to spend a few days in Lake County. Conveniently located in downtown Middletown, two blocks from the grocery store and breakfast options. This is a great place to stay if you’re interested in doing some wine tasting around the area, as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Calistoga Redoubt

Wonderful little rowhouse in Middletown. If you enjoy Old California, then this is a great place to enjoy Lake County or the upper Napa Valley. Middletown has everything you need for refreshment in a quaint town. If you enjoy mountain driving then Calistoga road over Mt. St. Helena is almost a destination in itself. A pleasure. Thanks.

clean and easy

We spent two nights at this clean and convenient house in Middletown and it met all of our needs. We cooked a dinner at the house and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The house is simple, but clean.

Girls weekend retreat

This was the perfect location and perfect space for 4 friends to meet up and have a wonderful weekend. Within a few blocks walk of restaurants and shops. Less than 8min from Harbin Hotsprings. Well appointed kitchen with the perfect layout for socializing and sharing meals. We will be back!!

Great property for a getaway. We were looking to escape for a couple days and not go somewhere crowded. Wanted to just relax. The house was perfect for that along with the surrounding area. House is clean, modern, well equipped, and very comfy. There are a few wineries close, several restaurants, and a great market. Restaurants and market all walking distance. The host, Shannon, was great to deal with. Very prompt responses to all questions. Very helpful with recommends for the surrounding area. Easy check in and check out. Great experience and would recommend.

Spacious

Another pleasant stay in Middletown CA

This was our second stay at Shannon’s rental. We have family in the area so we don’t spend a great deal of time at the house. We stay over thanksgiving week and are very busy with family activities. The property is neat and clean and can easily accommodate 4 people.

Cozy and safe

There aren't alot of options in Middletown and I believe this is one of the best! The location was great... just off the main street downtown but felt safe as the unit is 2-story with the living area upstairs. It was nicely decorated and comfortable for 3 days. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place to stay

A beautiful and modern home to stay in. My mom and a friend shared the space for a few days and were in love with the space. A true little gem in Middletown, we’ll definitely be back next time we visit. Excellent for visiting Harbin Hot Springs, super close to the breakfast place we love - Cowpoke - and just an all-round cute space to stay. Communication with Shannon was fast and friendly.

Convenient Location

There’s a little grocery store around the corner and Harbin Hot Springs is just a short drive. It was my second stay at this location. Everything was clean and as advertised. Beds are comfy. Kitchen was enough to get by but could be slightly improved by a new sheet pan and hardier cutting board etc. but we like to cook. Grill worked great. Will absolutely be back.

Perfect!

We needed a place near Six Sigma Winery for an event. This turned out to be the perfect place! Spacious, clean, comfortable, close to the best supermarket around and other wineries we visited while in town. The owner is super responsive and attentive!

Girls getaway

Quaint little house just off of main street within walking distance of a farmer's market a few blocks away in the park, and of an amazing grocery store you wouldn't expect to find in such a small little town. It was very quiet and comfortable. About a 25-minute drive from Calistoga, just over the mountain. Beds were super comfy and there was ample seating for the three of us to relax. The keyless entry was easy and we had everything we needed for our stay.

Rural home

Nicely decorated and easy check in. Nice kitchen set up and convenient 2 bathrooms. Unfortunately we 3 are 65 yr olds with orthopedic issues and asthma. There is a high stairway from first floor to second where kitchen and living room is located. Also tub mat was not clean upstairs. Had breathing trouble with windows closed due to some allergen or past pet hair.. not sure . My fault on location. Was a bit too far from Napa for our liking but was beautiful and scenic traveling to home.

20 min outside of napa

Overall everything was good i would stay again. 45 minutes from a big grocery store ,located in a very small town. Master bath shower curtain liner needs to be replaced (mold).. Ac/ neast control cant be adjusted was set to 75 so.it was boiling in the house . Just elected to turn it off and use an extra blanket when it got cold .. has a patio for downstairs bedroom with no furniture to relax in and has a stunning view of the back house. Bring your own pillows

Napa/Clearlake weekend

We met family in Napa/Clearlake area to do winery tours/tastings. This property is in a great location and away from the more crowded areas of CA wine country. The property is very nice and easy walking distance to several coffee shops, restaurants, and the local grocery store. Unit is clean and well-appointed with 2 full bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a laundry room, kitchen, etc. The stairs going up to the main floor are a little steep, so a little challenging for someone with mobility issues, but there is a handrail. The house next door has two medium-size dogs (fenced in) that are very protective. We got to the place around 11pm and the neighbors' fence is only about 6 feet from the front door, so there was a lot of snarling and loud barking right next to us as we opened the door. It wasn't terrible, but we felt bad as it likely woke all the neighbors nearby. The location is convenient to a lot of wineries and was easy to drive to without going through Napa. I would recommend it and would stay there again.

Needs a few adjustments

The overall rating for this rental was very good. I contacted the owner and went over these comments personally. Shannon was very helpful during our stay and was concerned about fixing these issues. We rented the home for the week of Thanksgiving. The weather was nice but cold at night. The first floor bedroom and bathroom was a little cold at night. The bathroom particularly could use some extra heat. The cool bedroom was perfect for me as it I like it cool at night. The bedroom also could use a small dresser. We were there for a week and needed to live out of a suitcase. The upstairs was very nice with Living room, well equipped kitchen and main bedroom & bathroom. We were visiting our son so all of our meals were out. The location was perfect for our needs. There is a large lake just a few minutes from Middletown and obviously many wineries in the area. Middletown is a small quiet town in a beautiful location. I would recommend this home for a visit to wine country.
