This wonderful house made us feel as if we were staying in a mansion! It was clean and spacious with easy check in and out. You can use the kitchen to cook your own meals if you feel like staying in. I would highly recommend if you are visiting Newport!

Wonderful restaurants nearby. Prompt response from staff when I had questions. Beautiful, elegant, safe, clean room and property. The full shared kitchen is large, clean and well stocked with ice, dishes, salt/pepper, cleaning supplies etc. The parking was easy and accessible. Check in and checkout was a simple process. I can not state enough how gorgeous the house itself is. It is 10 minutes or less to downtown Newport. I would stay again and again given the opportunity!

Newport Hamilton Hoppin Hotel

Excellent stay

This is a very unique place for those who appreciate history and nostalgia. Beautiful, quiet and close to the beach. In the absence of some modern amenities such as an ice machine and microwave there are instead paintings, a piano, rocking chairs, old world charm, very high ceilings, a very comfortable shower, gorgeous antique furniture, privacy, lack of institutionalized average hotel feeling, easy check in and extremely low pricing considering the proximity to beaches. Thanks to all of the staff, managers and owners for preserving such a wonderful piece of American history.

The mansion was lovely! Its entire energy was quite relaxing and cozy, as well as being convenient with all of the shopping and eating options within a close radius. It really felt like we had stepped back into history with the fantastic upkeep of the property. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a beautiful house in an area close to downtown Newport . Check-in is sent to you by text or Email. The bed and room were comfortable and I would have rated it a 5 except the shower was disappointing. The door track would not close properly and at times the shower trickled out so slowly that my wife passed on washing her hair there because it too long to rinse.
