Calahonda in April
As a group of three golfers, this was an ideal villa and perfect location for our week in the Costa del Sol. The lounge / dining area and outside space were perfect. Although conveniently located for the nearby main road, the garden area was very quiet. We walked to a variety of nearby restaurants. Off street parking was very helpful.

Lovely Villa and great pool
Villa was very clean, well equipped and good A/C. Had a lovely time relaxing there. Great comms from the host and all questions answered. Location is hilly but with restaurants and supermarket within walking distance 500M. Area is residential rather than touristic so not much noise. Good local bars and beach but you will need a car to get about. Marbella is easy by bus but for gib you will need transport. I would happily book this place again.

Quiet and private haven in the town
Beautiful, clean, spacious, well equipped and private Villa. Had everything we needed for a great stay. John and Scott were helpful, discreet and friendly. Solved a couple of minor problems without fuss or delay. A bit disappointed that the small kitchen patio was out of use, would have been a lovely place for lunch, breakfast. However we were still able to dine outside the entire stay, and also entertain our family who live nearby. We cannot exaggerate enough the appeal of the pool and garden area where we spent most of our time. The location is superb with easy walking access to two shopping centres and the beaches literally at the bottom of the road. And yet retaining great privacy. We will definitely be back

Great holiday villa
Villa was clean, pool was cleaned twice a week and done very well. As a family we sat down and tried to find faults in the villa and all we could come up with is maybe some pool lights and more outside lighting to play cards at night, We recommend this villa and trust me you won't be disappointed. The town is a very short drive or about a slow 15 min walk one way or a 10 min through the cut through.

Property was clean and tidy when we arrived and we were able to check in early which helped . Swimming pool is huge and the outside area very spacious. We had no issues with anything , the ac in the bedrooms was a godsend at night. We know the area and it was easy to walk to restaurants as we didn’t hire a car as the local buses are easy to navigate , when we didn’t eat out the kitchen and BBQ provided good options to cook at the villa. Would 100% return

Family holiday
Our 2nd stay at this villa, it is ideally located for the beach, shops and restaurants. You don't need a car to get around, there are lots of bars and restaurants close by and taxis are easily available for further destinations - €20 to Fuengirola, €25 to Marbella. If you want a little bit of home Lidl and Mcdonalds are 5 mins walk away. An enjoyable holiday with lots of outdoor space and a suntrap garden and pool.

Beautiful home from home , secluded villa
We have just returned from this beautiful villa , very large yet very homely. Spacious rooms and a fabulous pool . The kitchen is well equipped with all you need. The beach a short walk away , In fact about 5 minutes walk . We were sad to leave , felt like home , hope to return .

Great property with amazing pool in a fabulous location!
The property is very spacious and clean with a huge pool. Everything you could need for a holiday is provided and the host and property manager were very communicative and fast in their responses. The location is perfect, just a five minute walk to the beach, bars, supermarkets and restaurants with Calahonda providing a great choice. The house is in a street with lots of neighbours but once the big electric gates are closed it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, very peaceful and relaxing. We had a great stay and would highly recommend the value for money at this property.

Not suitable
We were old age pensioners, could not go in the pool, because no hand rails, could not sit around the pool , because of the lay down sun beds, alright for people that can get up, 5 minutes walk to the beach is not true. Because of problems we get to the villa till 1.30 am, this the only we ever had that gave us no welcome pack.

I am 74 myself and I find the gentle steps into the pool have always been ok for myself, but thank you for your comments on this and for the future going forward I will make sure I provide more for people of our age group! We always provide welcome pack if requested! On the issue of me not telling the truth on walking distance to the sea if you walk to the end of Almeria and down the woodland path until you get to the road you cross the road and your on the beach! I used to walk my dogs regularly there every morning so I know how long it takes but now obviously longer for me as I am an OAP and probably the same for you! I would never lie to a guest as I want them to enjoy their stay! If you had called John or myself we would have been more than happy to assist you in the things that you found difficult! In all the years I have been letting my house out I have never been told that what I describe was not true! Gillian Mackay

Great property, fantastic pool and lovely location
This is a great property to come to with family and friends particularly for the fabulous pool. It has a lovely feel and is in an area with good access to the beach, shops, cafes and the airport. Would highly recommend and hope to return.

Ruined by smell
Lovely property clean and in good order with many additional extras - books & DVDs also well equipped for cooking cleaning and washing. Sadly the house had a really bad smell of sewerage when we arrived and this continued throughout our holiday giving my friend constant migraines and making myself have a really bad cough. The smell was rancid and went onto clothes etc so we stayed out of the house as long as possible each day. This I have to say was not the owners fault and attempts were made to rectify it but it did ruin our stay in this lovely villa

Lovely spacious Villa & huge Pool
Great size villa & huge pool. The villa has all the basic amenities needed and in a lovely quiet, secluded area. The pool guy was very helpful - he topped up the pool so that filters worked properly, what a difference that made, Just perfect! The grass around the pool was unfortunately dust but it didn’t matter as we moved the sun loungers to the upper garden level. The owner was happy to answer all my questions & queries. A fabulous family holiday

An initial disappointment
When we arrived we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the property. The adults in the party had to spend several hours cleaning the property before we could unpack. We did contact the property manager who came and wiped the kitchen cupboards. The patio was full of weeds and did not look like the nice sitting area shown in the photos, also beware of a rocky tile on the terrace. Once we cleaned it the villa looked great. As mentioned previously the villa is a bit tired, but is a lovely spacious villa and worked well for our family. We all loved the pool area. The host had been very helpful and accommodating during the booking of the villa.

Always grateful for a constructive review and I try my hardest to make the experience enjoyable! I was expecting these negative comments and not surprised, as I had a feeling this guest no matter what I did would not be satisfied. My home is not a hotel but thankfully the standard of my reviews have been very good and I am most grateful! We are all entitled to our own views, but unfortunately all of Europe has had Sahara Dust, no rain for nearly 5 months and daily fires with dust in the air with helicopters flying around picking water up from the sea to put out the fires. We have a very hard task to keep the house to perfection in these conditions.! I am always willing to listen and try to work towards that perfection as I take pride in what I have to offer and get satisfaction when I know my guests have enjoyed the house and also I pray for rain! Fantastic place for a great relaxed holiday. Plenty of room inside and outside of this villa. The pool is a great size. Well situated in a quiet street but within easy walking distance to shops, bars and beach. Property Management team are approachable and very helpful.

Perfect family villa
We were so impressed when we arrived and saw the villa, gardens and pool. The pool is a fantastic size with varying depths. Gardens were well kept with lots of areas to stay in the sun or go in the shade. Villa is spacious, well maintained and in a perfect location. So close to shops, restaurants and beach. Would definitely recommend for a holiday

Would highly recommend
Lovely big house with a huge pool in bcweol maintained gardens in a secluded spot hidden away behind gates. Very private, close to the beach (don’t follow the maps, there’s at a path at the end of the road). Very well equipped with everything you need for your holiday. Probably suits a family more but we had it as a couple and rattled around it very happily. We had a problem with the TV when we arrived but the the host and agent had it sorted within 2 hours. Decor maybe a little dated for some but if you need a good quality, good base for a holiday, you can’t really go wrong here.

Easter Wedding
This is a spacious character property with everything you could wish for when self catering. We loved the safe enclosed gardens and we used the beautiful clean pool (it was cold but the boys didn't care). As the weather was chilly when we first arrived we soon warmed it up using the heaters. Once the sun arrived the house was just the right temperature. It fulfilled all our requirements, so spacious, three bathrooms and was a very comfy home from home. Also lovely helpful neighbours too!

Perfect winter getaway, comfortable warm and spacious house.
We had to move from another house Christmas Eve due to the cold. Gill was more than happy to quickly accommodate us. Within a few hours we were invited to move in. Great service Gill! The house itself is located in a nice neighborhood. Shops and restaurants are near. The beach with its long (10km) boardwalk is 5 minutes down the road. Take a right and walk to the end of the road. Take a left up a sand track which leads to the road down below. Walk past McDonald and your at the beach. Inside the living room is nice and bright. Two airconditioners can provide cool and heat. We were visiting end of December so used heat only. Works perfectly. There is a fireplace which we didn't use. There is a nice sloping stairs leading to the second floor. 3 good sized bedrooms with again inverter ac's. Two bathrooms. Location is perfect. 10 minutes from Marbella. 25 minutes from the airport. Kitchen is stocked with wat you need to cook. Didn't use the pool due to the season but looked appealing with its shallow section and deeper section. Long enough to do some milage.. Can't fault the house, the location or the host. We'll meet again.

We couldnt have chosen a better property for our needs
The location of the property was ideal 10 mins walk to shops cafes and beach. Access to beach was across A7 flyover. Which was a ramp so wheelchair friendly. The property owner couldnt have been more helpful and accomodating and the property Manager friendly and was on hand to assist and the poil was cleaned twice weekly .The property was very spacious. The stairs to bedrooms managable but downstairs bathroom and toilet where ideal. The inside of the property has been refurbished and felt like home from home. The beds and bedding were very clean and very comfortable. The bedrooms quite spacious . We look forward to staying here again next year.

Week In Las Blancas
Homely, fantastic pool, spacious layout, great aircon, just some first and lasting impressions of this villa. Situated in a quiet street off the main road through the town, it is a very private but very welcoming villa. The pool is a great asset, having the sun throughout the day. It is a good size, but has an area that is waist deep so great for kids to play in all day long, but if you fancy a dip or swim there’s plenty of room for this too. Very easily accessible with steps down from three sides. We spent most of the day in and around the pool and is defiantly one of the villa’s best features. The air con is great and if you need to cool off, this is in every room and works a treat. The internal rooms are very spacious, large open plan living area, 3 bathrooms all with showers and the bedrooms are a big size. There is plenty of room throughout. Kitchen is a good size as well with a new oven and hob and a large fridge freezer. There is a separate outside eating/patio area with a large gas bar-b-q. Gill was very helpful before our visit. We arrived at 1:30am but checking in and access to the villa was not a problem and very easy, also has electric gates which are a good addition. The villa is a great place for a family break. The nearby town is 5-10 min walk. There was a number of places to eat, Italian, (nice food and huge portions), and Bogart's Tapas Bar, which we visited three times. Great service, great food and very good selection to suit all tastes. One not to miss is the Jammy Olive. This has some of the best food I have ever tasted. It serves from breakfast to lunch in the early afternoon. Very fresh and high quality. Great service too. We made sure that we booked a table on our last morning, it is that good !! We also visited the nearby Argentinian steak house, which is within a short walk. Again, great food and great service and not too expensive for this kind of thing. The villa is 30 mins from Malaga airport which was easy to reach and sits between Marbella, (15min drive) and Fuengirola, (15mins). A great place to visit is the hillside town of Mijas, (20min drive), unbelievable views out over the coast and a little oasis on the side of the mountains. In summary, would definitely visit this place again, was great for what we wanted, private and quiet, but within easy reach of local amenities, lots of larger towns, great places to eat and visit. 5 out of 5.

Calahonda villa
Lovely large villa with easy access large swimming pool. Big rooms and good air conditioning. Pretty garden and area for dining outside. Good location near to restaurants and beach . Near to Marbella and Mijas, both within easy driving distances of 15 mins. Only criticism we had was that the place is in need of a bit of maintenance, bathroom shower screens, cooker( no markings left on knobs- very difficult to use) . Outside patio area needs attention too. Unfortunately the cleaning of the villa was not up to scratch either and the whole place could do with a deep clean.

Fabulous Villa!
Las Blancas is situated in a quiet neighbourhood of Sitio de Calahonda, the villa is bright and airy and very comfortable. The pool is a good size, we all enjoyed our days swimming and cooling down as the weather was glorious. Yes the villa needs some updating, the cooker controls were a challenge but we would definitely return due to the location and the facilities the villa offered.

Gem of a Villa in a lovely, quiet location
Right from our first impression, this villa did not disappoint. Situated on a quiet street with a glimpse of the sea beyond, Las Blancas is a wonderful place to stay. The outside space is amazing, with a large pool and plenty of space to sit and enjoy the sun. Inside - a clean, cool villa with light airy bedrooms, bathrooms on both floors and a large lounge dining space. The kitchen is functional and has all the equipment needed. Extra touches like plastic crockery and glasses provided for younger guests and for outside use. Scott the gardener/pool man was very informative, suggesting local restaurants and attractions. This villa is ideally situated within walking distance of the beach (7 mins) local supermarkets and cafes (5 mins). Try The Jammy Olive for the best mini burgers and chocolate brownies! Overall, we wouldn't hesistate to recommend this villa!

Nice but a little unloved
The Villa was clean and functional. You can tell it was once a lovely villa and we suspect the photographs (shown on the website) were taken a long time ago. It could do with some TLC. All of the equipment in the kitchen is all different and a bit shabby. We only had a couple of toilet rolls left for us and there was a lack of towels. The Villa booklet has a long list of instructions about what you’re not allowed to do, otherwise you’ll be charged. These are all little things, but it took the shine off the holiday.

A Quality Villa with a fantastic Pool
We had a great stay at Las Blancas with our family of 4 adults and 2 children. The villa is large and spacious set in a quiet rural location. We found the villa very comfortable, fully equipped and fully air-conditioned throughout. It is within easy reach of Malaga airport (approx. 35 mins drive) A good selection of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The beach is close and accessible via the boardwalk which runs across the water front. All in all we had a brilliant week's holiday and would not hesitate to recommend this villa .Both the owner Gillian and her agents in Mijas were very helpful to ensure a trouble free stay in CalaHonda. Great location within easy reach of shops and restaurants, good size Villa and gardens.
Really pleased with the Villa, very secure, quiet location not on a busy road, but within 10 mins walk to the shops and a good choice of restaurants. Pool good, pool man very good. Could do with a couple of extra sunbeds. New BBQ is excellent, outside dinning area is great.

This is a spacious home with a lovely pool and an excellent location. It is a quick walk from the beach as well as several shops and restaurants. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms have good showers. Unfortunately the kitchen leaves a bit to be desired and is under equipped for a self catering property. In spite of this we had a wonderful time.

Lovely spacious villa with great pool
We had a lovely time at this villa in October, the villa is in a great quiet location within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. The villa is spacious and has everything you need for a relaxing stay, including a dishwasher and air conditioning. The pool is fantastic and the large mature garden is well maintained. All in all we had a great time and would highly recommend.

Fantastic private villa and pool!
What a lovely spacious private villa and pool this was! Having just stayed with my family. Which consisted of 2 adults and 3 young adults. It's big enough that everyone had their space! Thank god for the air con as we had a very very hot day just before we left. The location was perfect for us as we have family in Sitio de Calahonda. Your also close enough to all amenities and the beachs aren't too far either. The new board walk has made accessing the beaches/ restaurants and bars so much easier. It's a beautiful walk after evening meal. Gill and the agents are all fantastic and we can't thank them enough. Many thanks Heather

A lovely relaxing secure Villa
We had a great stay , There was 6 of us 4 adults and 2 children , The villa is very large with loads of room , On arrival the Villa was clean and fresh , Quality beds and bedding ,We had an heatwave the time we were there it did'nt matter due to the quality Air conditioning , The pool is great , large and clean , Whilst there a pool cleaner came out twice and cleaned the pool , This is a very private Villa behind electric gates not over looked , The location is great, easy drive to the Airport ,Gibraltar is 50 minutes away so cheap smokes and drink ,There are plenty of places to eat nearby , Even a McDonalds is within walking distance 3 super markets within a five minute drive , The beach is just over a five minute walk. So everything you need is right on your door step I found Gillian the owner very very helpful from start to finish any queries are responded to promptly . Traumhaft schöne, großzügige leider ungepflegte Urlaubsvilla
Wir fanden ein ganz komfortables,,großzügig angelegtes Haus in bester Lage vor, die gepriesenen Ausgänge zu den Terrassen sind aber mit Gittern und rostigen Vorhängeschlössern außer Betrieb gesetzt. Die Blumenkübel mit Steinen, Erdresten oder halb vertrockneten Blumen gefüllt. Der Swimmingpool ist großzügig, mit langer tiefer Bahn , gepflegt, sauber, eine große Freude. Die Betten sind im Schlafzimmer mit angrenzendem Bad völlig durchgelegen , in der Küche konnte man sich trotz dem gelieferten Ameisenspray nicht vor kleinen Ameisen retten. Die Deckenventilatoren waren von einer dicken Schicht Staub oder wohl eher Schimmel bedeckt. Der Fußweg zum Strand ist in kürzester Variante 15 min. lang. Fußläufig sind verschiedenste gut Restaurants und der Weg durch das viertel eine botanische Freude. Da wir keine Allergien haben und das Ambiente noch wichtiger finden als den Pflegezustand hatten wir eine wunderbare Zeit.

Tämä oli meille jo kolmas kerta tässä kohteessa, mikä kertoneekin kaiken oleellisen. Ainoa pettymyksen aiheuttanut seikka oli se, että huonoina nukkujina esittämämme pyyntö saada nukkua kolmesta huoneesta siinä, jossa on erilliset sängyt, ei loppujen lopuksi toteutunut. Kahden muun makuuhuoneen sängyt olivat huolellisesti pedatut, mutta eivät ne, joissa sitten nukuimme. Jos esittää erityistoiveita, kannattaa siis varmistaa, että tieto kulkee vuokranantajalta eteenpäin.

Kokemistamme ehdottomasti paras puutarha ja uima-allas, eikä talostakaan löydy moittimista. Our cup of tea. Talon kierreportaat eivät kuitenkaan ole ikääntyneille vuokralaisille ihanteelliset. Laskeuduttaessa 1-2 viimeisen portaan merkitseminen selkeästi esim. värikkäillä teipeillä olisi tervetullut parannus, koska kaiteen loppuminen ennen viimeistä porrasta saattaa hämätä uutta laskeutujaa.

Entspannter Urlaub in toller Villa
Die Villa ist tatsächlich eine Villa. Ein großes gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit "Empore", wo sich der Essbereich befindet, lädt zum gemütlichen Miteinander ein. Jedoch haben wir die meiste Zeit im Garten verbracht. Dieser ist super schön, nicht einsehbar (d.h. genug Privatsphäre und Ruhe) und gut gepflegt! Der Garten ist noch schöner als auf den Bildern, sowie auch der Pool! In und am Pool haben wir tatsächlich die meiste Zeit verbracht 😀 dieser ist sehr groß, man kann unbekümmert seine Bahnen ziehen. Im vorderen Bereich ist er flacher (genug Platz für Kinder). Es gibt 3 Schlafzimmer (1 Queensize, 1 Kingsize Bett und ein Zimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten). Zwei der Schlafzimmer haben einen Zugang zum Balkon. Das Haus verfügt über 3 Badezimmer (1 Bad ist an das Schlafzimmer angeschlossen). Insgesamt ist die Einrichtung ein bisschen älter - charmant, aber nicht heruntergekommen! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war sauber. Alles was wir benötigt haben, war im Haus vorhanden. Zum Strand kann man eine Abkürzung nehmen. Ansonsten müsste man eine Runde um die Wohnanlage laufen (keine "Querstraßen" vorhanden. Der Ort ist sehr ruhig, es gibt jedoch ein paar schöne Plätze. Man kommt sehr schnell nach Malaga. Die umliegenden Ortschaften sind mit dem Auto in 10-15 Minuten zu erreichen. Hier ist es auch etwas belebter bzw. touristischer. Wir waren Anfang Oktober dort. Das Wetter war immer noch super mit ca. 26 Grad oder auch mehr. Gill war sehr zuvorkommend! Selbst als wir kurzfristig gerne noch einen Tag länger bleiben wollten, hat sie alles in Bewegung gesetzt, um uns dies zu ermöglichen. Thank you very much Gill for your efforts! We enjoyed our stay to the fullest and hope to come back soon 😀 Ich kann einen Aufenthalt in diesem Haus nur empfehlen!
