Had an OK stay but there were a couple of things we DID NOT enjoy: 1. The showers in our one bedroom with sea view in the San Diego Suites were so cramped that you would accidentally hit the main control unexpectedly, either shutting it off or the water getting very hot or very cold. 2. We were told on check-in that there was "lots of parking" at the suites but that was not true.

When I book the hotel, it was shown as a 5-star apartment hotel. photos are also very attractive. in fact, it's an apartment without services and very smelly in the room. It's quite similar to Center Parc concept but less children facilities. People working in the restaurants were nice, but in the hotel / reception / guest service center etc were NOT friendly/helpful. if you are also expecting a comfortable stay, not recommend this one.

We areived for a golfing trip and stayed in a 3 room suite. The rooms are of a reasonable size. However bed rooms vary considerably with the master being huge and the others are very very small. We encountered ants in the sofa bed, to which we complained to reception. Who promised we would have a new room, however later in the day this did hot arise. We were then blamed for the ants even though we had only arrived the prior night. The ants were still on the bed 6 hours later and the cleaning starf (one woman) was not able to open the sofa bed. The staff were very rude in handling this basic cleanliness issue and repeatedly blamed us for the problem?! Terrible stay but good golf courses in the area!

We have 3 different areas in Wyndham Grand and each has their own pool area, its impossible to differentiate between them on Expedia.The Main Reception address for check-in is detailed on the confirmation email we send to guests and is also well sign-posted at the resort.Kind regards

A beautiful resort
Beautiful resort and exceptionally clean. We were self catering but we visited one takeaway which was situated a mile from the resort called The Flying Pizza. The quality of the food was not good. We were not offered a delivery service either which considering it is a 5 star resort wasn’t acceptable. We didn’t try the other restaurants however so cannot comment. Only one of the swimming pools was heated and crowded. The other pools were just too cold to swim in unless you are very brave. Our 2 children only went into the heated pool. I think the pools should be heated as October is classed as a winter sun holiday. The 2 bed apartment with a hot tub was huge and again exceptionally clean. On the first day our hot tub was lukewarm but once we reported it to guest services it was fixed within hours. We would visit again but in July/August when the weather is hotter so we can enjoy the pools. I would definitely recommend a car as it took about an hour to walk into Fuengerola. We used the buses and trains which were very good. We had to walk about 30 minutes to catch a bus though. We would recommend to friends.

They advertise some huge pools on the hotel presentation but you only have access to a small one assigned for your specific buiding and a very few are heated .

Just had a wonderful holiday at the Wyndham Grand. The facilities and grounds are beautiful, very well kept and maintained. The apartment was very spacious and luxurious inside. Would definitely return.

I had a great stay at the property, it was perfect for my family with young kids. My only complaint was that on the check out day, I was packed up and ready to leave at 10 am but the cleaners rushed in and basically kicked us out before we could do one last look of all the cupboards and drawers. Turns out, three pairs of shoes were left behind. I promptly contacted the hotel by email and they informed me that yes, the cleaners did find the shoes (they were soccer cleats as my kids play soccer in Spain). The reception told me to email back confirming an address to ship the shoes to. We are leaving back to Canada on Saturday morning, but are in Sevilla right now so have asked for the shoes to be shipped to our hotel here. Unfortunately, I have sent multiple emails and had our current hotel concierge call the Wyndham in Costa del sol but no one has replied to our multiple emails or calls. So frustrating as these shoes are so important for games my kids have played, and I know they are at the resort and would be much easier to ship to Seville vs Canada. Communication is obviously highly lacking at the resort. Hopefully, this review will prompt a response from the Wyndham staff.

Fantastic support from the local customer services team in the Wyndham. We had a bad experience on check in with our room and the guest services team (Frank and Scheva) were sooooo helpful and sorted us out. They were so lovely and friendly I can’t thank them enough!!!

Super week at this location. Stayed in the 2-bed with Hot Tub Sea View. The apartment was superb with everything we could have hoped for. Be aware that there is no daily cleaning service and only a towel change after 4 days on a 7 night stay. Pool is nice and quiet. It is small but even with 3 kids under 9 they were all happy to play there for hours. We went on the half board option which restricts you to the Safari restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a buffet with cooked to order English breakfast available. Dinner is a 3 course with a small menu to choose from. There are around 7 options for both starter and main. The food is excellent but the limited menu on half board can lead to wishing for more. One thing to be aware of is reservations are required as the restaurant gets busy. Wyndham did not make us aware of this prior and it led to a situation on our arrival which was resolved. There’s a good resort entertainments package with a super kids club that ours loved. Overall a great stay and would happily go back but maybe for a 4/5 nights.

If you’re looking for a family, poolside, holiday then Wyndham Grand is suitable. Restaurant quite crowded and food passable. Rooms clean and spacious, though not enough drawers/shelf space in main bedroom. Jacuzzi bath is a bit outdated. 2 problems are: not the best beach in the world- the A7 road(racetrack) runs between the complex and the beach. Subways available to the beach. Slip-road onto the A7 is a nightmare and the road is effectively one way only meaning extra miles if travelling north. Overall v.f.m. - very good.

The apartment was very roomy and we had great views and loved hot tub.The grounds were lovely and well maintained.Parking was ok sometimes had to walk back a way as was busy.How ever check in was the worst I’ve ever experienced on all my travel around the world.The main reception was hard to find and no way near the actual accommodation.Everyone did the same and we were often asked where it was.I joined a 10 min queue to be told it was the other queue which never moved and eventually we checked in after nearly 40mins.We requested and emailed separately to rq an early checkin as I had my elderly mum with me.We were told our key was programmed not to work until 4pm as it would not be ready until then.Check in 4pm and out by 10am!!!! Totally inflexible and no one mentioned there was an alarm also when we opened the door.We weren’t made aware the property is not cleaned on stays less than a week and getting a pool towel was as hard as checking in!

Worst family trip ever
First off I must say that this could have been the worst family trip we have gone on in seven years. We weren’t given the room we booked upon check-in. We were downgraded. Reception failed to answer our phone call for four hours which included 15 calls to ask if we could get a different room that we purchased and a different room because our neighbors above us were so loud until four in the morning keeping our kids awake for two straight days. Our room was not cleaned one time. And on the last day I finally had a chance to talk to the reception manager about all of these problems and she said that she would get me in contact with the hotel manager that day or the next day. It has now been three days since that conversation and I have not heard a single word from the resort via phone or email. Unfortunately the hotel also falsely advertises a children’s outdoor playground which is no longer there as it is torn down by the resort. I believe due to the miss leading information and lack of communication that this resort was by far the worst choice we have ever made for a holiday trip

Great kitchen/shower/jet bath/hot tub. Fantastic place to stay to relax on your own or with the family, all staff are pleasant and helpful, kids club is very good. Perfect opportunity to do your own shopping and cook your own meals or go out to eat. Beach is a 15 minute walk away. Really enjoyed it and will come back.

No way as a good as expected
The photo of the while hotel building is NOT the Wyndhalm Grand Residence that we booked / got. The complex is huge and is made up of lots of hotels and apartments.. They have a land train to get about. Our apartment was very dark with little natural light. It was on the ground floor and felt very exposed, it even had an alarm. The outdoor jacuzzi was visible from everywhere - the adjacent road and pavement, the surrounding apartments and the balcony of the one above! The outdoor jacuzzi was very old and the plastic had lots of hairline cracks. The cover was in need of replacing. There were coffee cup rings on the coffee table and even worse there was a motorway trail of tiny insects on the kitchen work surface. The main bedroom was nice and came with a jacuzzi bath however it was not clean as lots of debris (ie dead skin cells?) came out of the jets. The toilet door was frosted so without privacy. The heated outdoor pool is tiny no larger than a private pool and has restrictive hours. There was an issue with loud party noise one night and we didn't sleep.. There was no welcome coffee / tea supplies, poor quality toiletries and the room was not serviced during our stay. For the amount paid for a special occasion - this place really failed to deliver.
