"This hotel is slightly quirky but is very nice. I slept very well here and enjoy my room and the view over the valley. I didn’t eat at the restaurant for breakfast or dinner and I wanted something light, so can’t comment on the food. The view from the restaurant looked amazing. The only thing that would make the stay better would be to provide guests with a kettle to make tea or coffee in their rooms. I will definitely stay here again. "Charming and very comfortable place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff - my wife is coeliac and they ensured there were options for her at breakfast. The breakfast itself was very good quality. Strawberries and biscuits in the room on arrival were a nice touch. Parking was arranged with the hotel before arrival and worked well in the covered car park which was only around 5 Minute walk. The hotel is in the centre of Sarlat and the square is literally just around the corner. Overall a fantastic stay and we will not hesitate to stay again. "

"Excellent small hotel right in the middle of the charming town of Sarlat. Literally two dozen restaurants, many of them excellent, within a 10-minute walk. Friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend. Two things to note, without detracting from the above: street parking is metered during the day, and the optional parking garage spot (5-minute walk) must be reserved in advance and costs extra; and there is no laundry service (there's a laundromat not very far)."

"Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the IBIS Sarlat. The staff went out of their way to make you feel really welcome and were incredibly helpful making suggestions on places to visit to make your stay memorable. When there was a problem with the TV, in the room, the staff did their utmost to repair it. When they realised they would have to call someone in, to solve the problem, they immediately arranged a move to a much larger room and helped transfer clothing/other possessions. They were like breath of fresh air and are a credit to the hotel chain. The room was also exceptionally clean which was a real treat to see. If only other hotels were like this. The other great thing is the hotel is located directly opposite from one of the better restaurants, in the town, and is only a 10 min stroll to the medieval town centre which is beautiful to walk around. "
