About this property
The Lodge at Fields of Home
The lodge at fields of home is a sprawling six bedroom lodge in the heart of Amish country, and is nestled among rolling farm lands and pastures. The lodge has three levels, with the main gathering area on basement level. This level includes one bedroom with a private bath, a kitchen/dining area with another bathroom, a living area, laundry facilities, and a gorgeous patio area with a fire pit and an eight person hot tub. The top two levels of the lodge are composed of the other five bedrooms, each with it's own private bathroom. This lodge sleeps 23, with lots of room for floor beds, and was originally built to be rented by the room, so some of the rooms have outside entrances only, however, the entrances are on a covered porch. We know you'll fall in love with the sparkling clean and relaxing ambiance of the lodge and you'll find it the perfect place to gather with family or friends. There are two smaller cabins, on the premises, but each dwelling has it's privacy. The lodge is eight minutes from Berlin and four minutes from Mt. Hope where there are many food and shopping options.

The lodge was great. Plenty of space for all 20 of us. The lodge was very clean and had all of the amenities for a great stay. We will definitely looking into staying here again.
I took my church staff for a retreat and the house was amazing and met our every need! We will definitely be booking it again for next years retreat! I highly recommend this place to anyone who has a need to accommodate many guests! The host was great to work with!
Wow- what an incredible vacation spot! The cabin is beautiful, clean, and comfortable! Great amenities! The host thought through every detail! Very close to all of the shops, restaurants, etc, but out away from the traffic! We will for sure be back!
Our family went here for a family Christmas retreat. Our stay was nothing less than amazing. Everything we needed was there to make our even batteries! Games, firewood, paper towels and cleaning products, everything! We will definitely be back.
We had a fun and peaceful girls weekend. Plenty of space for gathering together plus to have your own privacy. Loved all of the little extras too. Very responsive to all of our questions. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a place for a larger group.
18 of us thoroughly enjoyed the Lodge. All slept comfortably, enjoyed the large kitchen dining room, and all the common meeting areas, including the smaller room off the stairs on the second floor that served as an excellent 'game' room throughout the weekend. The large yard was also great for outdoor games. Hot tub was great, and we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit each evening. A perfect weekend!
Sixteen of us stayed in this beautiful cabin. Everyone raved about their rooms. I especially loved the comfy beds. The only negative is that their VRBO page should disclose all their house rules that I didn't receive until the day before. I had to talk to many people but it worked out in the end.
Beautiful accomodations for a large family getaway. The space is well organized to allow for privacy and lots of shared gathering space. Hot tub was awesome and the setting was beautiful Amish country. Everything we needed was well stocked and well considered. Thank you for everything!
This place was lovely and well maintained. We loved that the house had some bedrooms with exterior entrances for a little privacy and noise insulation at night, while still having a nice common space and well stocked kitchen. Would highly recommend!
Our stay at this property was fantastic. There was plenty of space for our family. The private bathroom in each room was great! We enjoyed the open space playing yard games and we had fun with a fire in the evening. We enjoyed many activities in the area around the house. It was a wonderful family vacation!
Enjoyed a family reunion with 6 adult cousins spouses. Everything was as listed, clean, and comfortable. The hot tub was great, and ample firewood for evening fires in the firepit. Cooked several meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would definitely return in the future.
Large home with a lot of bedrooms and bathrooms but VERY interesting layout. Half of the bedrooms are only accessible from outside. Including the bunk room, which is best suited for children. It fit our group of 28 pretty well, but it was not exactly what I would expect. Property was beautiful and the house was well stocked and very clean.
We had nearly 30 people and everyone loved the house. There were some minor issues but nothing that impacted our stay at all. Plenty of linens and towels for all of us. We used a couple of air mattresses since we had more guests than beds but we knew this ahead of time. The location is peaceful and watching the fireflies from the hot tub was an amazing experience. This was my first VRBO rental and it will be hard to beat! We had great communication before and during our stay. Cell signal is spotty but that is to expected in Amish country. I really can't say enough good things. It was better than 5 stars for us!
regardless of the lack of communication. the property was great, and me and my family had a great time.I emailed host prior to renting - received a response stating that they would get back to me.... so i waited.emailed two more times - no response.requested an early check in - they said they would do their best to accommodate. 24 hours before our arrival they were not able to accommodate our early check in due to scheduled maintenance.... if it was scheduled you would think they could have told me sooner
