Mount Katahdin hideaway!

Mount Katahdin hideaway!

10/10 Excellent
"The property was lovely clean and organized. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook. They even had some spices and seasoning which was a nice touch as well as some tea bags. They had coffee and sugar as well. All very much appreciated after a long road trip up there. The area is quiet and the host is very friendly and accommodating and regularly checks in to ask if you need anything. The Wi-Fi was good and the little mini apartment was comfortable and the air conditioner was in the window if we needed it which we did a few days. This rental was a much better value than all of the hotels in the area. The bed was comfy the TV was good and right in the bedroom and was a smart TV so it had access to lots of different things to watch. Shower and sinks had hot water and plenty of towels and little soaps if needed. Overall it was an excellent place to stay when going to Baxter State Forest or stargazing at the katahdin woods and waters national monument overlook.Just bear in mind a lot of the roads to get to see things in nature are dirt or gravel and very rugged and I would highly recommend an SUV like a RAV4 or something similar.I'd like to stress again that the host was very pleasant and polite and accommodating and was a joy to have as a host that made us feel comfortable and welcomed."
