"Visually the resort is stunning, the grounds are beautiful, the attention to detail remarkable and the pool/spa area is amazing. The food in The Lazy Goat was really good especially the Maple Rosemary Chicken Wings.
However, the elevator in our building (The Mansion) was broken, we were on the second floor and they did offer to help with our bags. The ice machine was also out of commision and the lobby door needed a little TLC to spruce up the area. It's a little odd that there is no dedicated reception area, I wasn't sure where to go to check in then realised check in is at the same counter as the coffee and pastries.
Overall we absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to relax and rejuvinate."
"The location is beautiful. The road to get to the resort is not in good shape, but okay if you’re on high alert for potholes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a village view king room. It is small, but adequate. The bathroom is small, too, with not place to keep toiletries. We did not eat in either of the restaurants. We would stay here again. "
Mansfield Manor, the perfect place to relax & enjoy Vermont to the fullest. New!
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at Matt and Tracey’s place. The inside was lovely- having plenty of space for our family of 4 to spread out. It was clean and comfy and even had very well placed outlets. :) We live in a city apartment and the luxury of multiple bathrooms was not lost on us either. We cooked a lot during our stay and the kitchen had everything that we needed. We also appreciated the books and games the house had - especially the classic vintage Disney books which my kids loved and made my Millennial heart swell. There are some areas of the house (garage, basement) that are not for guest use and locked. The views OUTSIDE were INCREDIBLE. Of note- the trampoline in one of the pictures was not there when we visited, which was disappointing to my 7 year old. The outdoor entertainment basically consisted of the pool. It was a huge reason why we booked Matt’s place and we swam almost every day that we were there. The water even in mid August was pretty chilly though. I recommend buying some pool floats that have your body mostly out of the water and swimming late morning to mid day when the sun is right over the pool. Still- floating in the pool will definitely be the core memory I have from our trip. Also- The ladder to the pool also has a locking mechanism that keeps kiddos from climbing which gave us peace of mind. There is shopping and dining within 5 min! Matt was incredibly prompt and thoughtful in his responses when we messaged him! Thank you!!! "
"The perfect stay! A lot of hard work goes into the experience here. It's evident in everything from the furnishings to the gardens, paint work, carpets, bedding, amenities, and yes the food was excellence. The breakfast was hand made home cooked perfection.
For anyone looking for a perfect hostess and private, quiet stay it's amazing. Thankyou for all of the work that goes into providing this. We stayed in a luxury hotel in quebec a few days back and the price was a lot more and the experience incomparable. Your Inn is far better. Thankyou!"
Private mountain retreat with a game room, home theater, & jetted tub

"This is an absolute gem for anyone looking to enjoy a secluded, beautiful property with breathtaking views, wildflowers, and skies free of light pollution. Be it over the 4th of July holiday during our family's visit, we were very comfortable with the temperature within the home and spent a good amount of time enjoying the enclosed porch. Our children were overwhelmed by the high ceilings and general openness of the home itself. They enjoyed walking the property looking at flowers, and observing the wildlife in and around the pond. The amenities in the bathrooms were wonderful. Our hosts even provided us with a grill and a vacuum! Thank you for a fantastic vacation! "
