We had the most amazing stay at Gekkoujyu, the service is impeccable, food is delicious and the rooms are beautiful. The private onsen and the onsens available by booking are all amazing! Highly recommend it for the most relaxing, pampering experience!

Very luxurious ryokan! The food was plentiful and delicious and the sky onsen views were incredible. The private onsens in our room was very roomy too! The whole experience was wonderful and the service was very good. Our main server, Divas, was very polite and attentive. The stocked minibar and check out present (packed lunch) were a very nice touch.

Staff was wonderful!! Chen San and Kojima San made the whole stay! Property and grounds were magnificent! Food was marginal…beautifully presented but some items way over cooked,some way under cooked. All in all, a very memorable stay! Will be back! Domo arigato gozaimashta!

Nice, lots of privacy. Limited English. I don’t think they want to cater to westerners, other than the dinner menu nothing else is translated. I had a hard time with the a/c control which is all in japonese. The private baths are great. The food was wonderful on the first night but not as good on the second , same with breakfast. Overall enjoyable.

Nice sophisticated ryokan. Attention to detail. My first dinner and breakfast were wonderful , second Wasn’t as good. The a/c was right over my bed so the air blows at the bed, not too comfortable. The bed sinks in the middle. We took a taxi from Kumamoto, it took 2 hours. The private baths were great. There are no snacks in the rooms and nothing to order, bring some ! Only 8 rooms so lots of privacy.

We stayed in the Yumemi room . It was spacious and beautifully designed traditional and modern mixed Japanese space. Loved the wooden beams and the private indoor and outdoor onsen. I highly recommend this place. Make sure to have the Kaiseki meal if you haven’t experienced it yet!

The property, experience, and staff was wonderful. It was very peaceful and quiet. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The private onsen and site onsens, plus the food experience makes it well worth the price. We also enjoyed the drive from Beppu.

内風呂&露天風呂、夕&朝食全てが最高でした。スタッフさんの接客も外国の方でしたが、言語に全く問題なく、配慮も素晴らしくおもてなしの精神を感じました。さすが月洸樹さん、噂通りかそれ以上の最高のお宿でした。ただ、70代の両親にはちょっと食事量が多かった気がします。

2度目の宿泊でした。食事の時間、タイミングがとても良かったです。2度目ということもあり、 勝手知ったるで、時間的にも余裕が持ててとても楽しめました。お料理、お風呂言うこと無し。スタッフの方もとても感じが良かったです。最後に頂くお土産が肉味噌だったのですが、（鶏味噌と牛肉味噌一瓶ずつ） 同じ物を２つにしてもらいたかったです。 前回のハンバーガー🍔が私は食べたかったです。復活して欲しいと願っています。 また、絶対宿泊したい宿です。

今まで宿泊した施設の中で一番でした。 全てが最高。強いて言うなら、食事の時間が長すぎてお腹いっぱいになり、最後のお肉が食べれなかった。夕食に3時間、朝食に2時間かかりましたので、あと1時間ずつ短縮できればなぁと思います。時間が長くなると、満腹になり食べれなくなってしまって。それが勿体なかった。
