The hotel was beautiful, very cool atmosphere! Loved having the bar and restaurant right there, delicious food. The room was very accommodating and the bed super comfy. It was nice having coffee ready on our floor and the muffins hit the spot. We would definitely stay again :)
The hotel is lovely .
Staff is wonderful and the food was excellent.

The hotel is historic and thus has some charm. The bed felt old. The shower head is also historic. Nice shower heads are $59 at Home Depot, so really no excuse to have an old shower head that makes for a less pleasant shower experience.
The Inn is a wonderful historic building. The staff was friendly and had great recommendations for things to do amd resteraunts. We really enjoyed our stay and if we're ever back in Minneapolis we will stay again.
We loved to beauty and unique, historic look of the Nicollet Island Inn! Abe, who checked us in was very welcoming, friendly and informative! The staff overnight and at check out were amazing and helpful as well! Our room was comfy and gorgeous! I would definitely recommend staying here!
Beautiful and quiet way to enjoy a stay in the city without having the crazy of the city at night right outside your door. Very nice views, beautiful walking paths all around the area easy access to all kinds of places all within walking distance. Over all it is a beautiful get away and very charming.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We love the location and the quaintness of the hotel. However our room was freezing and there wasn't any way to turn down the air-conditioning. For the price, which included an extra fee since it was on the historic register, I wish the room had been more comfortable. I think we will choose a different place in the future.
Staff were friendly and attentive. Location is a lovely quiet area easily walkable to a number of cafes and restaurants. The hotel restaurant has a dog friendly patio. The food and drinks were tasty and service was great. The room was clean and well kept with a romantic historic feel.
We had a wonderful time. Food was excellent. Room was beautiful. Very quiet n almost boutique like. Beautiful views. Giving a 4 because of a few small issues but nothing that would prevent us from coming back.
Great location- but nothing much open on a Monday. Love the free parking and the natural setting right in town. Very few people in the hotel during my 2 nights but somehow managed to get a room directly across from another guest, so there was some hallway noise that could have been avoided.
This is the way hotels should be. Forget the big corporate hotels. It's old and that is what is great about it. But also the staff is very attentive and caring. Worth every penny.
It was like stepping back in time. Rooms were nice and quiet. Within walking distance of a lot of stuff including downtown Minneapolis. Breakfast was kind of sad. Muffins were cold like taken of freezer recently. Not real good to be honest. Bed was awesome. Overall I would stay here again.
I had a lovely 4 night stay. The room was lovely. Next time I will request a river view! The room was comfortable, but a little noisy. I don't know if it was the HVAC or what but it ran constantly. I had to call the front desk to regulate the temperature of the room, but they were very responsive.
A unique location that feels outside the city, but is a 20 min. walk to downtown. It's surrounded by nature and the hotel itself is lovely and looks like something out of a novel.
The inside of the hotel shares the same rustic feeling on the main floor. Our room was clean overall but the tub and bathroom were kind of grungy. The room also lacked a fridge. The continental breakfast was fairly lackluster, though appreciated for something quick before checkout, with fruit, yogurt and muffins as your options.
The staff overall was pleasant and there was plenty of parking.
The staff were gracious. This hotel needs a serious refreshing. Probably still circa 1982 when it opened. no in room control of the air conditioning which at the warmest level was freezing. AC Fan particularly noisy never stopped. Bathroom fan would spontaneously turn itself on and could not be turned off. Shower soap dispensers fell apart. Rooms tired and worn. initially had a “superior corner room” and windows opened up onto two large industrial kitchen vents (food smell). Moved to a “lesser room“ ; inn kept the full superior pricing. Windows had to be propped open (old rotted frames). Hotel “ran out” of bottled water, we had to find on our own. Great location, clean linens, nice staff, charming historic building that has not been refreshed this century. Not value for money.
The room has an odor, old and musty like a bad junk shop. The tv cannot be seen from the bed. This place at one time was nice but now should be a discount hotel. Stink, stank, stunk. Ruined my evening in the city.
